Business Development Manager role working in a well regarded Law firm which is poised for high growth over the next few years. The position is be based in Birmingham.
This role contains both an internal and external client facing element so stakeholder engagement and relationship building are both key attributes to the job. You will take ownership of specific geographies and sectors and use all the relevant elements of the BD role to pull together a strong pipeline of opportunity for the Partners. This will involve everything form events, comms and social media to bid winning, relationship development, networking and identifying hot topics to share your engagement on. You will work with both new and existing clients so cross selling opportunities and engaging with the Partners to help them identify such opportunity is key. There is a strong focus on data and tracking to ensure you maximise the potential of all clients - new and old.
In the ideal world you will have experience as a BD Manager within the professional services sector, whether that is Law firm or Accountancy or consultancy or another sort. Ideally you will understand the environment from a cultural perspective and also from an angle of understanding the BD cycle and what goes into creating B2B opportunities for professional services providers.
