Senior Marketing Strategist

Location: UK based Remote role. Occasional visits to London office and other business locations required from time

The Senior Marketing Strategist will be integral to the delivery of strategic projects and will act as the lead consulting/advisory partner for assigned EMEA and APEJ clients, driving their success through strategic advisory, deep understanding of their business, and direction of internal teams to ensure client satisfaction. This will include helping to build and manage EMEA staff across various supporting roles within strategy, solutioning, marketing communications, and analytics.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Take client business objectives and translate into a metrics-driven communications strategy, combining online and offline resources to deliver a hyper-personalized experience using the right message, at the right time, via the right channel.
  • Develop nurturing strategies that heavily consider MAP/CRM/custom data models, engineered and/or 3rd party data (intent, profile, customer lifecycle, etc) for segmentation and personalization throughout the entire customer journey. Common platforms encountered include Eloqua, Marketo, Salesforce Sales Cloud, client databases, Intent platforms (6sense, D&B), data enrichment (D&B, LeadSpace, ZoomInfo).
  • Maintain and update client roadmaps as maturity, relationship progresses. Steer client on prioritization and decision-making when required to inform budgeting.
  • Develop testing & optimization plans that result in actionable, statistically significant findings. Work with execution teams to run tests and implement findings.
  • Contribute to marketing process design, redesign, and optimisation – using best practice methodologies and customer insights to advise clients on the best way to structure and run their teams.
  • Help clients to create actionable personas, combining desk research and primary interviews.
  • Define KPIs aligned to the program and organisational objectives informed by industry benchmarks and previous campaign performance.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to develop account or program specific goals, key messaging and value propositions throughout the entire buyer journey.
  • Support the business development and project scoping process to promote core services to existing clients or new prospects where our services compliment the client’s long-term goals.
  • Develop promotional materials including case studies, blogs, or articles related to challenges or trends throughout the industry.
  • Liaise with Client Services to prepare for regular business reviews, account plans, client status meetings and client communications.
  • Ability to travel on occasion for client engagements, internal workshops and team/company events. Travel within the UK is the norm but there may also be a requirement for international travel on occasion to visit clients or to attend conferences/ meet team members.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Evidence of a strong academic background – ideally, Bachelor’s degree in business (or EMEA equivalent), marketing, operations or related subject – or relevant years of experience
  • 5+ years consulting experience in enterprise B2B with particular focus on ABM and at least 3 years in a strategic marketing role.
  • Ideally, 5+ yearsexperience of Martech consulting with complex, long sales cycles including varied target, international markets
  • Familiarity designing processes and communications that take advantage of marketing automation platforms, database structures, CRM systems and teleservices resource.
  • Excellent presentation skills to deliver ideas and solutions across various project stakeholder roles from delivery teams to executives, with proven ability to quickly adapt delivery content and style to meet needs and expectations of clients ‘in the room’.
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously within project timelines. Personal flexibility and ability to respond to time-sensitive demands
  • Thorough understanding of key Marketing principles and industry trends across demand gen, analytics, Martech, and the customer experience
