Telecommunications Civils Engineer

Nano Fibre UK are looking for telecommunications Civils engineers for the Huntingdon area to help support us as we scale. We are a fast growing company who are committed to offering the best service to our customers from our engineers in this region. We are looking for enthusiastic and self-driven individuals to carry out Civils work to support us in delivering our customer promise. You may either be a current Civils engineer or someone who is currently a fibre broadband engineer who is looking to get into Civils work and are willing to learn. Either way Nano will support you in that next step in your career.

Key requirements:

• You will have experience and a proven track record working in a Civils environment tracking and locating blockages in the UG system on the BT network.
• You will be required to ensure our risk assessments are carried out and all processes are followed regarding permits.
• Ability to reinstate and make good groundworks and accreditations and experience using heavy machinery, jackhammers, stihlsaws and wacker plates would be preferred.
• You should show effective problem solving and interpersonal skills, a focus on teamwork and brilliant customer service.
• You should possess good logical skills, the ability to prioritise tasks and be willing to find the best customer solutions possible.
• Nano covers different areas of the country so you may have to travel some times.
• The ability to work irregular hours and overtime to achieve our customer service targets is some times required.
• You should be medically fit and able to carry out a physical job in all weathers.
• Able to work in teams or alone to meet our SLA KPI’ s set by our partners.
• Willing to work in other locations within the UK if required (accommodation provided)

Qualifications and experience

• Minimum of2 years working in a similar role preferred.
• Accreditations:
• NRSWA 01 – 08
• LA – CAT and Genny
• SA004 – Abrasive Wheels
• SAOO2 – PIA Underground Safety (preferred)
• S7 – PIA Sub-Duct and Cable Installation (preferred)
