Job Description

What is the opportunity?

You will be the Business to Business (B2B) Marketing Executive within Wealth Management Europe.

The Business-to-Business Team is responsible for all marketing to attract new B2B customers, deepen existing client relationships and share of wallet for Intermediaries, IFAs, Charities, Lawyers, Accountants, Fiduciary & partnership teams within WME, while mitigating risk of attrition.
 
The team works closely with regions and branches to deliver local client networking events, peer-to-peer networks and marketing campaigns (for new and existing products/propositions) that drive trust and loyalty, resulting in up-sell, cross-sell and inter-generational opportunities.

The Marketing Executive will focus on implementing marketing strategies for B2B channels across the British Isles. They will also be supporting the B2B sales process through strategic marketing efforts.

This is a permanent, full-time role and requires 4 days at our 100 Bishopsgate, London office.

What will you do?

1. Campaign Planning and Execution:

  • Execute and optimisation of the B2B marketing campaigns, such as digital marketing, content marketing, email marketing, social media, events, and more. These campaigns are designed to generate leads, nurture prospects, and ultimately drive sales.

2. Lead Generation and Conversion:

  • Execute the lead generation strategies set out by the Director and the management team to attract potential clients and convert them into qualified leads for the sales team. This involves development compelling content, implementing lead capture mechanisms, and utilizing marketing automation tools.

3. Content Development:

  • Create relevant and valuable content, with the RBC WME content team, tailored to the B2B audiences, such as thought-leadership, case studies, webinars, and social posts. Content should address the unique challenges and needs of businesses and demonstrate the value of the company's products or services.

  • Work with B2B partners and other services firms to develop joint content.

  • Help execute awards programme to raise profile of RBC with B2B audiences.

4. Market Research and Analysis:

  • Working with the RBC WME research team, conduct market research and analysis to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, customer behaviours, and pain points. Use this information to refine marketing strategies and make data-driven decisions.

  • Using analytics to continually understand and improve on the performance of campaigns.

  • Work with and manage industry partners to fully understand B2B audiences and ways to reach them.

5. Collaboration with Sales Teams:

  • Work closely with the sales teams to align marketing efforts with the sales process, ensuring a seamless transition of leads from marketing to sales. Collaborate on defining target accounts, creating account-based marketing strategies, and supporting the sales team's efforts with relevant materials.

6. Measurement and Reporting:

  • Ensure KPIs and metrics are tracked to ascertain the effectiveness of marketing efforts. Regularly analyse and report on the performance of campaigns, making data-driven adjustments to optimise outcomes.

7. Stakeholder Communication:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, business development/sales to ensure marketing strategies align with broader company initiatives.

  • Manage external agency projects.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Strong marketing experience, ideally within a B2B environment with a keen understanding of campaign and event management within a wealth management or financial services business.

  • Background in investments, wholesale asset management, legal firms or banking services to understand the B2B offerings and networks within wealth management.

  • Exceptional organisational skills and able to work independently and manage your own workload to meet deadlines.

  • High standard of written and spoken English with a meticulous attention to detail.

  • Budget Management skills/experience.

  • Advanced working knowledge of the Microsoft365 suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.).

  • Create core processes and manuals and ensure they are always current and up to date.

Nice-to-have

  • Degree educated or similar/equivalent.

  • Preferably hold or studying for an advanced CIM qualification or equivalent, and/or investment certificate.

  • Previous experience in professional services, investment firms or a bank.
