Communications that connect and inspire

What if your next role helped shape how almost 3,000 colleagues experience Lincolnshire Co-op?

We’re proud of the difference we make in our communities. From supporting local causes and providing valued services to helping people through some of life's most important moments, our colleagues make that difference every day.

We're looking for an Internal Communications Manager to lead our internal communications agenda and help colleagues feel informed, connected and engaged with the organisation they work for. This is an opportunity to influence communication across our diverse business, working closely with leaders to ensure colleagues understand not only what's happening, but why it matters.

Because great communication isn't just about sharing information.

It's about creating understanding.

The stories are already here. We need someone to tell them.

Many people know us for our food stores. Others know us through our pharmacies, travel branches, funeral homes or post offices.

What connects all those businesses is a shared purpose: bringing together ideas, energy and resources to make life better in our communities.

That purpose creates thousands of stories every year. Stories of colleagues supporting local causes. Stories of teams helping customers through life's challenges. Stories of people realising their potential.

As Internal Communications Manager, you'll lead on bringing those stories, and our wider organisational priorities, to life for colleagues across the Society.

Leading communication through change

Of course, storytelling is part of the role. Your content creation skills will help shine a light on the colleagues, communities and causes that make Lincolnshire Co-op special.

But that's only part of the picture.

You'll also lead communication around key business priorities, leadership updates, organisational change, as well as supporting colleague engagement activity and events. Whether you’re helping colleagues understand a new initiative, supporting leaders through a significant change programme or ensuring the right information reaches the right audience at the right time, you'll play a central role in keeping our organisation connected.

There will be opportunities to influence communication at every level of the business. One day, you could be creating content for a colleague wellbeing campaign, the next coaching senior leaders ahead of a colleague event or helping shape reactive internal communications during a fast-moving situation

You'll lead the development of our internal communication channels and identify new opportunities to improve how we communicate with colleagues.

You'll be responsible for managing the day-to-day communications planning for our internal audiences, with the support of the Internal Communications Co-ordinator. You’ll also work closely with our wider Communications team on content and to co-ordinate what we’re sharing with our members, customers and communities.

It's a varied role that combines strategic thinking, relationship building and hands-on delivery.

You'll understand how to create varied communications that engage different audiences across different mediums, navigate sensitive issues and support organisational priorities.

We're looking for someone who can think strategically while remaining close to the detail. Someone who is comfortable building relationships, challenging constructively and translating complex information into clear, engaging communications.

Most importantly, you'll be curious.

Curious about people. Curious about stories. Curious about how communication can make a greater impact.

What you'll get in return
