Think Specialist Recruitment are thrilled to be working on an exciting role with an award winning company based in Luton. Our client is looking for someone to join their team as a Marketing and Events administrator on a 12-month fixed term contract (with the expectation that this could lead to a number of different roles within the company once the fixed term expires).

Our client organises a large number of trips abroad for their customers, along with visits across the UK for their suppliers. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the coordination and administration of these events, whilst also assisting the Trade and Customer Marketing teams. You will also be working closely with the Supplier Managers, in order to provide strong marketing support to the Sales team and our clients customers.

This is a fully office-based role however once you have completed probation there is opportunity for hybrid working (two days per week). Hours are Monday to Friday and vary between 8:30am – 4:30pm, 8am – 4pm or 9am – 5pm.

The salary for this role is up to £26,000.

Duties:

  • Manage the administration of the (Customer) Trips and (Supplier) Visits programme,
  • Agree the programme for the year, adjusting as required during the year in consultation with Sales Directors and Supplier Managers.
  • Collaborate with the relevant Supplier Manager in order to correctly liaise with Suppliers regarding the logistics and planning of the Trips and Visits.
  • Work with the Sales team to coordinate correct information for Trips and Visits, ensuring all information is clear and confirmed by all parties.
  • Ensuring all Trips or Visits run smoothly and are a success.
  • Coordinate, research and book the necessary requirements (e.g. flights, hotels, car hire, etc).
  • Collate all information and produce a clear itinerary, circulating to all relevant people within set deadlines.
  • Ensure strong comms throughout the whole process.
  • Provide general Marketing support as required.
  • Manage entries into product competitions in liaison with the Supplier Manager team.
  • Help produce content for company magazine and the Seasonal brochure (and other publications as required) to hit required deadlines.
  • Manage marketing assets – product shots, point of sale.
  • Respond to all requests for assets, product information, images, stockists, brochures etc.
  • Assist with the despatch of samples, price lists or company magazine as required.
  • Aid in the coordination and execution of any events.

Candidate requirements:

  • Excellent administrative, planning and coordination skills.
  • Must be willing to attend company events.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential for this role.
  • Well-organised, with the ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines.
  • Good communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Able to build productive working relationships.
  • Customer focused and commercially aware.
  • Self-motivator with a proactive attitude.
  • Computer literate and confident in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Knowledge of and active involvement in social media desirable.
