This role will lead marketing and communications planning, maintaining consistency, quality and frequency across key audiences and channels, with responsibility for developing national plans and supporting the team on activating these regionally and divisionally.

You will balance strategic thinking and hands on delivery, managing team members, providing robust planning mechanisms and consistently measuring and tailoring to our audiences.

Working closely with the Brand & Communications Director, you will bring focus and new ideas to an already rich content landscape, ensuring everything we produce is on brand, relationship led and optimised for our platforms.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the potential to become permanent although not guaranteed.

  • At least 5 years’ experience in B2B marketing, with a strong focus on planning, delivery and measurement.
  • Experience in professional services (e.g. accountancy, legal, financial or related sectors) or similarly complex B2B environments.
  • Proven track record of planning and delivering content across multiple channels (web, social, email, webinars and similar).
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, able to turn technical or specialist subjects into clear, engaging content for professional audiences.
  • Experience managing or mentoring others, with the ability to set direction, give feedback and support development.
  • Comfortable working with digital tools (e.g. CRM, Monday.com, webinar tools, social scheduling and analytics).
  • Confident using data and insight to shape decisions, measure engagement and refine content strategy.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, able to collaborate across the whole business and constructively challenge where needed.
  • A proactive, collaborative and ideas driven mindset – keen to test new formats, learn from results and share best practice.

The specific duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the development and delivery of the national marketing and communications campaigns, aligned to business growth.
  • Supporting your team to execute divisional and regional content calendars that span thought leadership, case studies, webinars, social content and video.
  • Working with your team to introduce and test new content formats and channels, building business cases, pilots and playbooks for wider rollout.
  • Overseeing and evolving the social media strategy (LinkedIn and Instagram) for relevant audiences and channels, ensuring it reflects our relationship led positioning and specialist expertise.
  • Working with the Digital Marketing Manager to coordinate the delivery of content and campaigns for target audiences, ensuring webinars, email activity, membership portal content and resources work together to deepen engagement and increase penetration, using insight and data to refine plans.
  • Using data to deliver focussed and actionable market, sector and audience insights
  • Reporting on marketing and communications performance against agreed KPIs, sharing insight and recommendations with the team and wider stakeholders.
  • Working with our external PR agency to deliver national and regional PR strategies and supporting the team to deliver targeted PR and media in line with plans.
  • Managing internal communications initiatives, developing engaging content and supporting board led messages.
  • Supporting recruitment marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including fee earners and senior leaders, to translate their insights into accessible, engaging content.
  • Managing budgets for national, regional and divisional workstreams.

Management:

  • Providing strong leadership and development opportunities for your team, supporting career plans through our competency led frameworks.
  • Managing two Marketing and Communications Executives with responsibility for regional and divisional activation, providing day to day guidance, coaching and clear priorities.
  • Managing one PR Executive with responsibility for sector communications.
  • Managing all people processes including monthly one-to-ones and bi-annual appraisals, building a strong feedback culture, and taking full accountability for the development, performance, and wellbeing of direct reports.
