Are you a strategic communications professional with a passion for policy, media relations, and creative campaigning?

Amazon is looking for a Policy Communications Manager to join our UK Stores & Corporate Communications team, based in London.

In this role, you will develop and execute communications strategies that support Amazon's policy objectives in the UK, helping to ensure that debates about legislation and regulation are informed and accurate. The successful candidate will be a key member of the UK Comms team, reporting to the UK Head of Corporate Communications.

You will work at the intersection of public policy, media relations, litigation and corporate reputation – translating complex policy topics into compelling narratives for policymakers, media, third parties and the public. You will develop integrated campaigns across earned, owned, and paid channels, build relationships with policy-focused media and commentators, and support Amazon's engagement with key stakeholders in Westminster, Whitehall, and beyond.

This role requires an experienced, creative, and versatile communicator who demonstrates sound judgement under pressure, excellent writing and storytelling skills, and an ability to engage both policy and business audiences. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across Public Policy, Legal, and business teams to align communications strategies with Amazon's broader objectives.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop and execute proactive communications campaigns that support Amazon's UK policy priorities across earned, owned, paid, and social media channels.
  • Build and maintain relationships with policy-focused media, commentators, and non-traditional media to shape coverage of issues relevant to Amazon.
  • Craft compelling narratives, messaging, and content (including media materials, briefing documents, owned articles, social media content and executive communications) that translate complex policy topics for target audiences.
  • Provide strategic communications counsel to Public Policy colleagues and business leaders on policy-related issues, regulatory developments, and reputational opportunities.
  • Monitor the UK political and regulatory landscape to identify emerging issues and proactively develop communications responses and campaigns.
  • Support issues management and reactive media handling on policy-related topics, working collaboratively with the wider UK communications team and international colleagues.
