Our clients’ mission is to champion inclusion by providing and promoting accessible homes and neighbourhoods that welcome and include everyone.

They have been a leading provider of affordable, accessible homes for over 50 years and now provide accessible homes and services to more than 3,200 Habinteg households.

Our client developed the Wheelchair Housing Design Guide to encourage best practice in the development of new wheelchair accessible homes. They also engage the housing sector to encourage others to plan and build accessible homes.

Their in-house access experts, the Centre for Accessible Environments, provide consultancy, training, research, and publications on building design and management to meet all user needs, including disabled and older people. They welcome applications from every section of the community.

About the Role

Our client is looking for a confident and proactive Media and Communications Officer to tell (and sell in) the stories that place our work, and our campaigning, firmly on the news agenda.

They need someone who can write a great story and build the relationships needed to sell it to the media. If you love writing and can create copy that flies, read on.

You’ll be juggling projects, acting as a roving reporter, and bringing our social media to life.

You will be a natural content creator and curator for social media, and understand how to build engagement. Experience with social media management software would be great.

If you can also take strong photos that tell a story and shoot short film clips with your smartphone, we definitely want to hear from you.
