Marketing Manager

Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Marketing Manager to lead our clients marketing function and drive business growth. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded professional to take full ownership of their marketing strategy, delivering measurable results across both B2C and B2B channels. This role is ideal for a strong leader who thrives on innovation, embraces challenges, and is eager to make a significant impact. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of this marketing team, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring marketing activities align with the organisations strategic objectives.  You will lead the Marketing team, setting clear goals and providing strategic direction at the same time as having overall responsibility for all marketing activity ensuring each campaign is effectively promoted across organic, digital, offline, paid, partner and social channels. 

 

Benefits: 

Location: Hybrid working available with 3 days working from home and 2 in the office (York based)
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum, based on experience

Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy and Performance

  • Develop and deliver the annual B2B and B2C Marketing Plan and budget.
  • Take full accountability for marketing performance, customer acquisition, brand development, and ROI.
  • Produce monthly performance reports covering key metrics such as revenue, leads, conversions, CPA, and customer acquisition costs.
  • Continuously assess and optimise marketing effectiveness to maximise ROI.
  • Introduce innovative approaches to enhance commercial outcomes.

Leadership and Team Development

  • Lead, manage, and develop the Marketing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Set clear objectives and performance expectations.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop team members to strengthen capabilities.

Digital Marketing and PPC

  • Oversee the company’s digital marketing strategy and manage relationships with external agencies.
  • Ensure PPC campaigns are effectively managed and deliver strong commercial returns.
  • Align social media, email marketing, PPC, and website activity with overall business objectives.

Campaign Planning and Execution

  • Plan, execute, and optimise multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
  • Monitor campaign performance and implement data-driven improvements.

B2B Growth and Commercial Relationships

  • Drive B2B growth strategy in collaboration with the New Business Sales Lead.
  • Oversee B2B performance, ensuring acquisition targets and revenue goals are met.
  • Identify and prioritise new market opportunities and translate them into actionable plans.

Supplier and Commercial Relationship Management

  • Negotiate with publishers, media owners, agencies, and strategic partners to secure favourable terms.
  • Manage supplier relationships and hold them accountable for performance and ROI.

Events and Brand Representation

  • Represent the company at exhibitions and networking events.
  • Plan, coordinate, and evaluate event activities to maximise brand awareness and customer acquisition.

Compliance and Governance

  • Ensure all marketing communications comply with regulations, GDPR, and other applicable legislation.
  • Collaborate with Risk & Compliance and Senior Leadership teams to manage regulatory risks and approvals.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a senior marketing position.
  • Proven track record of developing and delivering successful multi-channel marketing strategies.
  • Strong commercial awareness with expertise in ROI, CPA, customer acquisition costs, and marketing effectiveness.
  • Demonstrable experience in analysing marketing performance and implementing actionable improvements.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to build and manage high-performing teams.
  • Excellent project management, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Degree-level qualification in Marketing or equivalent professional experience preferred.
