Great marketing makes things happen. You’ll be the person who makes it happen at MGN.
At MGN Events, we design and deliver live experiences that stop people in their tracks: sales kick-offs, leadership events, conferences, brand activations and multi-day offsites for companies of 200 to 2,000-plus people, alongside luxury private celebrations for high-net-worth clients. We are not event organisers. We are a strategic creative partner. Three pillars guide everything we do: Magic in the Details, Creatively Curated, Precisely Executed.
We’re hiring our first full time dedicated Marketing Manager to own the marketing function end to end. This is a role for someone who wants real autonomy, a seat close to the leadership team, and the chance to shape what good looks like. You’ll lead every channel: brand, content, digital, SEO and AI search, paid, PR, social, email, nurture, sponsorships and awards, and you’ll be held visibly accountable for the results.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll sit at the heart of how MGN goes to market, working closely with the Managing Director and Head of Growth to drive inbound, build the brand, and make sure the right audiences see MGN at the right moments. AI is woven through how we work, and you’ll use it to make marketing sharper, faster and more effective, with human judgement, taste and craft applied where they matter most.
Day to day that looks like:
-
Strategy and planning: building the annual marketing plan with clear quarterly priorities, and turning commercial targets into activity that delivers them
-
Inbound demand: driving qualified enquiries from senior corporate buyers and private clients by building the funnel, the offer and the proof points that move them
-
Nurture and contact strategy: owning the nurture programme across past clients, prospects, partners and event attendees, adding genuine value at scale with visible accountability for the result
-
HubSpot and marketing operations: being the person who actually knows HubSpot inside out, from properties, workflows and lifecycle stages to attribution, lead scoring and reporting. We want a builder, not a user
-
SEO, AEO and AI search: owning our visibility across traditional search and emerging AI answer engines, with a clear point of view, a plan and measurable progress
-
Content and copywriting: writing well yourself, briefing well to others, and holding a consistent, distinctive voice across our website, sales collateral, case studies, decks, social, newsletters and PR
-
PR and earned media: spotting opportunities and acting on them, building relationships with trade and business press, and landing MGN in the right rooms, on the right stages and on the right awards lists
-
Design and creative direction: briefing designers and creative partners with clarity, holding the standard, and protecting the brand without becoming the bottleneck
-
Conducting the orchestra: getting the best from our specialist freelance partners across design, copy, web, video and PR, alongside the senior team and the wider MGN team, calm and in control
-
Measurement and iteration: everything gets measured, tested and iterated. You’ll lead from the numbers, report with clarity, and use what you learn to make smarter decisions
-
Where AI fits: putting AI to work across the function, with the judgement to know where it sharpens the work and where human craft has to lead
- Reporting directly into our Head of Growth

- Sharp copywriting and editing skills, with a trained eye for design and creative quality
- Confidence orchestrating freelancers, agencies and senior stakeholders, getting the best from them without micromanaging
- A test-and-learn mindset and the analytical chops to interrogate the numbers and lead from data

- A genuine passion for marketing that comes across in how you think and how you talk about the craft
A background in events, experiential, premium B2B services, luxury or hospitality is a plus, but we hire for capability over CV.
Why us
This is a first hire, not a backfill. You’ll have real ownership and the chance to design a marketing function the way it should be built in 2026, not the way it was built ten years ago. You’ll work closely with the founder and Head of Growth, with a genuine seat at the commercial table, exposure to some of the world’s largest brands as live clients, active involvement in significant projects already on the books, and real investment in your development. We’re small enough that your fingerprints are on everything, and ambitious enough that everything is worth being proud of.
