Job Purpose

The Marketing Intern will support the Head of Marketing and the wider marketing team in bringing Gresham’s brand to life across digital and social channels, while gaining hands-on experience in campaign research, event planning and execution, and day-to-day marketing operations using tools such as HubSpot and Canva.

This role matters because it amplifies brand execution at a critical time for the team, giving the Marketing Intern real ownership of visible work while building the next generation of marketing talent for Gresham.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support execution of brand campaigns across digital channels, helping ensure messaging is consistent and on-brand.
  • Create, schedule and monitor content across social channels, with a particular focus on LinkedIn, to build engagement and brand visibility.
  • Assist in planning and delivering marketing events, from logistics and supplier coordination through to on-the-day execution.
  • Conduct research to support campaign planning, competitor benchmarking and identification of market trends.
  • Support day-to-day marketing operations in HubSpot, including campaign and email set-up.
  • Design assets in Canva for social posts, campaigns and events.
  • Provide broader marketing support across the team as needed, partnering with colleagues on ad hoc projects.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Currently studying towards, or recently completed, a postgraduate qualification (or an undergraduate degree seeking a placement year) in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field.
  • Proficient and comfortable using AI tools to support day-to-day work such as research, content drafting and productivity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines across a busy team.
  • Genuine interest in marketing, brand and social media, and a willingness to learn.
  • No prior marketing experience required– full on-the-job training will be provided, including in HubSpot and Canva.

Desirable Skills

  • Prior experience using HubSpot and/or Canva (training will be provided if not).
  • Additional language skills, e.g. Spanish, French or German.
  • Experience running or contributing to a social media account, whether personal, academic or through a society or club.
  • Interest or prior experience in event planning.
