Position: Marketing Executive
Salary: £30,00-35,000 DOE
Location: Head office - Milton Keynes - Hybrid
Contract Type: Permanent OR FTC – 9 Months
This role will involve weekly travel to venues and occasional overnight stays away.
We are looking for a driven, high energy and creative marketing executive with experience of venue partnerships to join our team here at MERKUR Head Office. We want our slots venues to be busy and bustling 24/7 and that’s where you come in!
You will take the lead on venue support for your area, ensuring that you help to drive venue performance metrics via National, Local and bespoke initiatives. Working closely with in-house and external creative agencies to ensure materials creation and delivery find the optimum balance between maximum venue support and scalable solutions across the estate.
This role will focus on traditional marketing methods, so experience in this is crucial, and requires a tailored approach to individual venues, getting to know the teams you look after and partnering with them.

- Have the ability, and be willing to, travel to venues and team meetings across the regions
- Must have experience in multi-channel marketing and traditional marketing techniques. Eg print, direct mail, outdoor ads, in person events.
- Have the ability to create and manage multiple projects at the same time.

Your Role will include:
- Regularly attend on site meeting at venues and area meetings ready to advise best practice solutions driven by Marketing knowledge and expertise on a consistent basis
- Create multi-channel content that meets the company objectives, is compliant and work with Marketing colleagues to ensure online, digital, social and local / physical materials are delivered on time and on budget.
- Ensure that all communications plans and campaign support plans are in place across all consent led channels (e.g. email, SMS)
- Ensure all creative briefs following the company standards to ensure compliance and maximum detail, to minimise rework and maximise brand impact.
- Work with our agencies to source external advertising opportunities and place adverts as required in consultation with key stakeholders (Marketing, Compliance & Ops) – ensuring scalable and shared solutions where possible
- Evaluate marketing support actions undertaken via clear planning, review and work with the Campaigns and Promotions Lead to understand PCA (post campaign analysis) – this will ensure that we learn, evolve and improve our plans and actions to best drive company performance
- Manage your portion of the marketing budgets to ensure the best return versus plan, both promotional budget and materials/media.
- Regularly monitor and report on competitor activity though research and operational area feedback
- Maintain and update customer databases efficiently and work with venues to maximise data capture and sign up.
- Take responsibility for ad-hoc projects on a regular basis to enhance your knowledge / development and help drive the department deliverables forwards.
- Provide ‘ad-hoc’ support across our estate, via calls, emails (Marketing Inbox and Direct), Zoom or F2F meetings
- Build effective relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Working within our appropriate compliance framework to demonstrate the key behaviours of a professional, supportive, and engaging marketing function.
- To promote awareness of Responsible Gambling strategies and procedures.
