OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: 

Work in Pottermore Publishing’s marketing team on the administration, planning, creation and implementation of integrated marketing and communications campaigns, with the aim of increasing consumer audiences, deepening engagement, and maximising sales. Additional responsibilities for basic metadata and digital distribution management (i.e. the way we hold the digital files for and information about our products and share these with our digital retailers such as Amazon and Audible) as required, with training to be provided. 

 

 

SUMMARY OF DUTIES 

 

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: 

Working
in Pottermore Publishing’s marketing team
on the administration, planning, creation and implementation of integrated marketing and communications campaigns, with the aim of increasing consumer audiences, deepening engagement and maximising sales.
 


 

SUMMARY OF DUTIES 

  • Work closely with the wider Pottermore Publishing marketing team to drive forward the creation and implementation of marketing and communications campaigns across eCommerce, library and franchise partners - these communications cover new product launches, franchise moments and partner campaigns. 
  • Take ownership of account relationships for external partners, presenting and selling in upcoming campaigns, creating agendas for meetings and leading meetings. 
  • Lead on Timeline Management on key projects. 
  • Manage
    marketing approvals accurately and efficiently.
     
  • Monitor, measure and capture campaign activity - day to day this may include updating the approvals tracker and critical path 
  • Build and coordinate the monthly retailer newsletter and manage and update the marketing calendar.
    Regularly report on performance and offer suggestions to optimise performance.
     
  • Write and schedule content for
    PottermorePublishing.com
    and Pottermore’s LinkedIn page.

  • Write clear campaign and creative briefs, both for designers and copywriters, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines
    and secure approval from necessary stakeholders.
     
  • Coordinate Pottermore creative assets and distribution to internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Own key team folders on the server to ensure all work is organised and saved in a logical and easy-to-find way and can be referred back to easily. 
  • Undertake research and update the team on partner and industry trends in marketing and comms. 
  • Support on meeting coordination, including minute taking (where relevant). 
  • Work with marketing team with internal data systems. 

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION 

  • Work experience / knowledgeideally in a marketing or communications role within the media, publishing or entertainment sectors 
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, creative and innovative 
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and writtenExperience in writing copy or working with copywriters helpful 
  • Highly organised with rigorous attention to detail 
  • Able to work across multiple projects simultaneously and deliver against tight deadlines. This includes working autonomously, remaining agile and prioritising projects  
  • Strong team-working skills and the ability to maintain good working relationships with internal and external teams 
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Harry Potter canon and franchise an advantage
