The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a proactive Marketing Executive to join Clarion’s Retail department, working across a standout portfolio of premium trade events. Clarion Retail is the home of five prestigious market-leading trade events in the UK; Top Drawer Spring, Top Drawer Autumn, Home & Gift, January Furniture Show, Manchester Furniture Show, plus Retail Reveal, the online digital platform for the Retail industry. Clarion Retail is a fast-paced, exciting environment to work in with team members who are passionate about delivering engaging, productive and inspiring events.

The role offers the opportunity to make a visible impact across the brands, develop skills within a supportive team, and grow your career within Retail and Clarion’s wider events portfolio We are looking for a competent, creative marketer with analytical skills to work within the marketing team delivering integrated campaigns, ideally with experience of events or similar environments. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, brand focused, analytically curious, creative and with a customer centric approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of customer-centric marketing strategies via information gathering
  • Contribute to the delivery of multi-channel marketing campaigns on time and to budget
  • Create compelling content across channels including website, email, social, print and digital
  • Maintain and update event websites. Optimising customer journeys using tools such as Clarity and GA4
  • Plan, implement and analyse engaging email campaigns
  • Support the delivery of end-to-end paid digital campaigns across search, display, and social, managing budgets and optimising performance to drive registrations.
  • Manage organic and paid social media activity and design.
  • Write clear design briefs and collaborate with the creative team to deliver campaign assets
  • Build strong relationships with partners, sponsors, media, influencers and exhibitors
  • Act as a point of contact with the PR agency
  • Liaise with Marketing Operations and report on campaign performance, providing insight and recommendations
  • Support onsite marketing and event delivery during live events.

Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:

  • Proven experience of delivering successful multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Strong copywriting, proofreading and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience building email campaigns and using marketing automation (Pardot desirable)
  • Understanding of customer data, segmentation and reporting (Treasure Data desirable)
  • Confident working with performance tracking and response reporting
