About the Role
As a Marketing Executive within the Food Division, you will support the planning and delivery of marketing activities that promote ALS's food testing and analytical services across the UK. Working closely with technical experts, sales teams and external suppliers, you will help communicate the value of our services to food manufacturers, retailers and industry stakeholders. Combining campaign management, content creation, digital marketing, event coordination and market analysis to strengthen brand awareness, you will generate leads and support commercial growth.
Days per week: Monday to Friday

Locations: Hybrid – Rotherham/Chatteris/Shrewsbury
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering integrated marketing campaigns to promote food testing services.
- Creating and updating marketing collateral including brochures, case studies, email campaigns, presentations and website content.
- Managing social media content and monitoring engagement across relevant platforms.
- Supporting the organisation and promotion of industry exhibitions, conferences, webinars and customer events.
- Working with the sales team to develop marketing materials that support business development and lead generation.
- Liaising with external agencies, designers and printers to produce high-quality marketing assets.
- Monitoring campaign performance using analytics and reporting on key metrics such as website traffic, email engagement and lead generation.
- Conducting market research to identify customer trends, competitor activity and new opportunities within the food industry.
- Maintaining brand consistency across all communications and ensuring marketing materials remain compliant with company and industry standards.
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and prioritising business needs.
Essential Criteria
- Experience in a marketing role, ideally within a B2B, scientific, technical or food-related environment.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, including email marketing, website management and social media.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor content for different audiences.
- Experience planning and delivering marketing campaigns from concept through to evaluation.
- Ability to analyse marketing performance data and make recommendations for improvement.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
- Experience using CRM systems and email marketing platforms would be advantageous.
- Creative mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Confident working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a wider team.
- Full right to work in the UK and willingness to travel occasionally to industry events where required.
