Save My Exams is a rapidly growing EdTech business on the lookout for an ambitious Junior Social Media Executive for a 6-month contract. We are an exciting, customer-obsessed, remote-first startup that is improving the lives of millions of students every year.

Reaching more than 4 million users every month, all while being bootstrapped and profitable, we’re looking for a Junior Social Media Executive to join our team and help grow and engage our community across social media channels.

Your Responsibilities:Over the next 6 months, you’ll:

  • Own day-to-day engagement across Instagram and TikTok replying to comments and DMs, engaging with our audience and the wider student community, spotting trends and conversations early.
  • Support content creation and editing - turn raw footage into on-brand TikToks, Reels and YouTube Shorts with strong hooks, pacing, captions and trending audio (using tools like CapCut, Premiere Pro or similar).
  • Plan and post Instagram and TikTok Stories daily including polls, Q&As, countdowns, behind-the-scenes and interactive formats that drive replies and keep our audience coming back.
  • Stay on the pulse - monitor platform trends, audio, formats and competitor activity, and bring fresh ideas to the team.
  • Track basic metrics (reach, engagement, views), apply the learnings to future content and share with the wider marketing team.
  • Test, iterate and learn - try new formats, hooks - review what works, and feed those learnings back into the content cycle so our channels keep improving.
  • 2+ years' experience working in social media, content or marketing - whether in-house, agency, freelance or building your own channels.
  • A genuine passion for social media- you understand what makes content perform and how channels differ.
  • Confident filming and editing short-form video in tools like CapCut.
  • Strong written English and an eye for a good hook.
  • Creative, and quick to spot and act on social media trends.
  • Strong communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Organised and reliable - comfortable juggling multiple briefs, posts and deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with the UK education / exam landscape (GCSE, A-Level, IGCSE, IB).
  • Experience with Canva, scheduling tools, or social analytics.
  • An understanding of how organic social supports wider marketing and growth goals.

Here’s what we offer:

  • Competitive annual salary of £28,000 - £30,000 depending on experience & skills (pro rated for length of contract)
  • 36 days of annual leave, this includes the UK bank holidays but you can take them whenever suits you (pro rated for length of contract)

  • Flexible working hours: We don’t expect (or want) you to spend every waking hour at work. Our general working hours are 9-6pm, however we have a company-wide principle around Core Hours, which is 10-4pm and you can work at times that suit you and your team
  • Remote working: we’re UK based but you can work from your home or wherever you want. (Note - For this role we would expect you to be London based and available to come into the office for collaboration where necessary
