Job Purpose

In this role, you will lead the development of our brand DO initiatives, as well as looking after the current Dove Self-Esteem Project (DSEP) areas of work. Since the launch of DSEP, more than 20 years ago, it has made a real impact over 160 million young people, building their body confidence and self-esteem. But not only that, the implementation of these initiatives has allowed Dove to talk through unmissable comms that have shaped the brand’s current iconic position. In this job, you’ll have a chance to work on the next chapter of this journey, driving the brand’s interventions and success even further.

You will work directly with the DSEP team for the development and in-market implementation on new and existing interventions as well as with the rest of the Dove Masterbrand team to make sure these initiatives translate well into brand communications. The role has regular exposure to external partners and internal senior stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Assist and sometimes lead the development of new global Brand Do initiatives specifically crafted to reach new target audiences. Managing the process from design to validation (academically proving its effect on target audience) and implementation at scale in our markets
  • Keep current DSEP activities running, manage existing tools, update them where necessary, and manage existing external partnerships to ensure delivery
  • Partner with key local market teams to make sure DSEP targets for lives reached are achieved. Refresh the strategy of the brand do, and how it aligns within a particular country to make a real impact in communities
  • Responsible for boosting awareness of the Dove Brand DO i.e. Dove Day for the Dove and Unilever community, retailers and consumers
  • Own the lives reached reporting for Dove to ensure accuracy in the externally reported reach measures
  • Support the DSEP SBM on strategic work that involves DSEP
  • Scout for trends and factors impacting the body confidence and self-esteem of girls and women, where Dove can have an impact and generate thought leadership
  • Support on DSEP budget when needed

What You Need To Succeed

Experiences & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in FMCG or professional setting and excel, ppt, digital and social media platforms, AI and Unilever finance
  • Experience in marketing and communication projects
  • Have worked with global agencies and leading projects
  • Digital expertise and data analytical skills

Preferred experience

  • Experience as project lead across business functions
  • Global Market management experience
  • Partnership management
  • Have worked with health or mental health and/or youth or adolescent settings in the past and have experience in the education sector
  • Experience working with health experts and academics

Skills

  • Project Management: you have experience in working to deliver projects, landing in more than one market, through external partners (Agencies) or suppliers (Brand Do implementors), capacity to lead a network and to hold a team accountable for delivery. Be able to manage and allocate budgets, time management, attention to detail, manage creative, media and digital agencies and partners such as academics, be able to work on multiple projects at one time
  • Experience in crafting propositions: you have interest and some experience in crafting unmissable ideas; an instinct for identifying great ideas, the ability to shape ideas into inspiring executions. Specially in this case, they will land not in products or comms but in brand Do initiatives that the brand can talk about.
  • Experience working with external organisations and global agencies: some experience needed, ideally in healthcare organisations, NGOs, institutional organisations or global agencies.
  • Relationship and stakeholder management skills both internal and external
  • Communication skills: excellent written and verbal
  • Marketing knowledge with some level of creativity
  • Strategic and analytical skills to help set strategy, measure progress, justify spends and refine efforts based on data and learnings
  • The ability to understand culture and “be in culture”: as our world moves so fast, so does culture, and it is the same for the continuous evolution of our Purpose work.
