About ULI
The Urban Land Institute is a non-profit research and education organisation, founded in 1936 and supported by its members. We have more than 48,000 members worldwide and around 5,500 across Europe, spanning 15 national councils, with a particularly strong presence in the UK, Germany, France and the Netherlands.
Our mission is to shape the future of the built environment for transformative impact in communities worldwide. Our current priorities are helping the industry decarbonise, educating the next generation of real estate leaders, and delivering affordable housing that meets the needs of the people who live in it.
About the Department
The Events, Programmes and Product Councils team is based in our London office and delivers everything ULI Europe puts in front of its members: conferences, awards, education programmes, forums, and our Product Councils.
Product Councils are the heart of how ULI members learn from each other. Each one is a small, curated group of senior real estate and built environment leaders who meet twice a year to work through the issues shaping their part of the industry. We run 14 of them across Europe. Meetings are 20 to 40 people, deliberately intimate, and organised entirely in-house by our team.
We are a small team in London, which means everyone here gets close to the work. One of us loves building event content, one thrives on logistics, one is at their best with members. We are looking for the next person to add to that mix.
The Role
This is a chance to take genuine ownership of member relationships and events at a global institution, at a point where our Product Councils are growing.
You will spend around 75% of your time on Product Councils and 25% supporting the wider events and programmes calendar.
You will own around five European Product Councils yourself. That means partnering directly with the council chairs to shape meeting agendas, running the meetings end to end, and managing council membership as members roll off and new applications come in. You will have the support of an experienced team around you, but these councils will be yours.
It is a hands-on job. You will be close to the detail, and there is a real administrative side to it. If you are someone who takes satisfaction in things being organised properly and running exactly as they should, you will enjoy this.
