Event Marketing Manager - Maternity Cover

Location: London

Contract: Fixed-term maternity cover, minimum six months

Travel: International travel required, including New York City in January

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Event Marketing Manager to join YOOBIC on a maternity cover contract and take ownership of our most important global trade shows.

The primary focus of this role will be the end-to-end planning and delivery of two major events:

  • NRF Retail’s Big Show in New York City - Mid January 2027
  • Retail Technology Show in London - End of April 2027

You will be the lead project manager and central point of contact for both events, owning every aspect of their delivery, from initial strategy and planning through to onsite execution, promotion, internal coordination and post-event measurement.

This is a hands-on role for someone who has previously managed large-scale B2B trade shows and is comfortable balancing strategic decision-making with detailed operational execution. You will work closely with colleagues across Marketing, Sales, BDR, Customer Success and Leadership, but you will be responsible for driving the project forward, keeping stakeholders aligned and ensuring every element is delivered successfully and on time.

Alongside these trade shows, you may also support the delivery of smaller hosted events, customer events and other regional marketing initiatives.

What you’ll do

Own YOOBIC's flagship trade shows

Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of YOOBIC's two largest global events, acting as the project manager and main point of contact throughout.

  • Develop the event strategy, objectives and success metrics
  • Build and manage project plans, timelines and budgets
  • Coordinate booth design, branding, logistics and supplier management
  • Plan and manage event promotion with the Marketing, Sales and BDR teams
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders, speakers, demos and customer meetings
  • Leading onsite delivery and acting as the primary escalation point throughout each event
  • Oversee lead capture, follow-up and post-event reporting to measure ROI
  • Identifying risks, resolving issues and ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget

Support YOOBIC's wider event programme

Contribute to the planning and delivery of hosted and regional marketing events across Europe and North America.

  • Support the delivery of executive breakfasts, customer events, webinars and selected third-party conferences
  • Coordinate logistics, venues, suppliers and attendee communications
  • Work with the wider marketing team to promote events and maximise attendance
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success and Product teams to ensure successful execution
  • Track event performance and identify opportunities to continuously improve our programmes

About you

  • Significant experience in B2B event marketing, ideally within a SaaS or technology environment
  • Demonstrable experience independently managing large-scale trade shows or exhibitions
  • Previous ownership of complex events involving booths, sponsorships, multiple suppliers and cross-functional teams
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage several workstreams, deadlines and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Comfortable taking full accountability for an event while collaborating closely with wider teams
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with a strong understanding of event logistics and onsite operations
  • Able to move confidently between strategic planning and hands-on execution
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Calm, resourceful and solutions-oriented when working under pressure
  • Commercially minded, with an understanding of how events contribute to pipeline, revenue and brand awareness
  • Experience working with CRM and marketing automation platforms such as Salesforce and HubSpot
  • Willing and able to travel internationally
