Who we’re looking for
You’ll be a senior content leader with strong experience in developing and delivering high-quality thought leadership and strategic marketing content within asset management. You will combine deep private markets expertise with exceptional editorial skills, and the credibility to engage, challenge and influence senior investment professionals.

You will be comfortable operating with ownership and mandate, leading a structured content agenda across multiple stakeholders. You will work closely with investment and sales teams to align on priorities, guide messaging, and secure timely sign-off, ensuring a disciplined and proactive approach to content planning and delivery.

You will bring a strong understanding of private markets and the ability to translate complex investment strategies into clear, compelling narratives for both institutional and wealth audiences.

The team
Schroders Capital Marketing is focused on delivering a structured, insight-led content agenda aligned to commercial priorities. The Content & Engagement team plays a central role in shaping and delivering thought leadership and other strategic content across private markets, working closely with investment teams, sales, and wider marketing functions.

This role will sit within the Content & Engagement team and will take ownership of content planning and execution, enabling the Head of Content & Engagement to focus on strategic direction and team leadership.
 

What you'll do
As Content Marketing Lead – Private Markets, you will own and evolve Schroders Capital’s content strategy and agenda, ensuring a consistent pipeline of high-quality, insight-led thought leadership.

You will act as the central connector between marketing, sales, and investment teams, driving alignment on priorities, managing the content roadmap, and ensuring efficient and timely sign-off processes.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Own and evolve a long-term, proactive content roadmap, aligned to business priorities and key market themes 
  • Lead end-to-end content planning, coordination and delivery, working closely with investment and sales teams 
  • Take ownership of day-to-day content delivery and act as the primary point of contact for investment teams, guiding content direction and ensuring alignment 
  • Hold the mandate to drive decisions and secure timely sign-off from senior stakeholders 
  • Produce and oversee high-quality thought leadership across various formats including articles, reports, POVs and campaigns, which positions us as best-in-class to our peers
  • Optimise content for search engines and AI models (SEO/GEO/AEO) to enhance organic visibility and drive traffic to digital platforms.
  • Analyse content performance data to measure the effectiveness of content marketing efforts, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Translate complex private markets strategies into clear, differentiated narratives 
  • Maintain high editorial standards, ensuring consistency in tone, quality, and brand positioning 
  • Provide strategic input and constructive challenge to shape content direction and messaging 
  • Support execution across channels, ensuring content is effectively delivered to target audiences.
  • Take a strong interest in markets, competitors’ activities, regulatory developments and other news flow to identify content opportunities and stay at the forefront of private market developments especially where they relate to democratisation of private assets.

 

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, finance, or a related field. 
  • Significant experience in content, editorial or journalism, ideally within asset management or financial services 
  • Strong expertise in private markets, with a focus on private equity and/or private credit 
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex investment topics without losing depth or credibility 
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, investment strategies and client audiences 
  • Proven ability to manage and drive a structured content agenda across multiple stakeholders 
  • Experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders in a demanding environment 
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities 
     

The knowledge, experience and qualifications that’ll help

  • Journalism or editorial background.
  • Experience delivering long-term, thematic content programmes.
  • Knowledge of additional private markets asset classes (e.g. real estate, infrastructure).
  • Strong understanding of SEO, GEO, and AEO best practices, with proven ability to optimise content for performance across diverse digital platforms.
  • Proficiency in content management systems, marketing automation platforms, and analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance considerations in the financial services industry.
  • Experience producing thought leadership for institutional audiences.
