Role Overview

An exciting opportunity has opened up at Agriconnect, part of Arc Network, for a Commercial Marketing Manager. This role is responsible for developing, managing and delivering commercial marketing strategies across Agriconnect’s portfolio of five events and commercial products.

Working collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Content, Digital and Customer Success teams, you will create integrated multi-channel campaigns that generate high-quality leads, support sponsorship and exhibition sales, strengthen client relationships and maximise commercial revenue. Success will be measured through lead generation, pipeline contribution, campaign ROI and commercial performance.

Strategy, Planning & KPI Development

  • Own the commercial marketing strategy across Agriconnect’s portfolio.
  • Develop integrated marketing plans to support exhibitor, sponsorship and commercial product sales.
  • Align activity with revenue targets and commercial KPIs.
  • Manage commercial marketing spending to maximise ROI.
  • Database growth and data acquisition.
  • Ensure all activity aligns with Agriconnect and Arc Network brand guidelines.

Commercial Marketing, Social Media & Campaign Delivery

  • Own the commercial social media strategy.
  • Develop integrated campaigns across email, social media, SEO, partnerships and content.
  • Lead PPC strategy including Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta and paid social.
  • Manage PPC and paid media agencies and optimise campaign performance.
  • Work with Content and Design teams to develop campaign assets.
  • Attend Agriconnect and industry events as required.

Lead Generation & Sales Enablement

  • Develop integrated lead generation campaigns.
  • Deliver Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) and Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs).
  • Support new business acquisition and client retention.
  • Work closely with Sales to improve lead quality and conversion.
  • Develop lead nurture programmes and marketing automation workflows.

Data Build Strategy

  • Develop and own a clear data build strategy to grow Agriconnect’s commercial prospect and client databases across events, media brands and commercial products.
  • Identify target audiences, sectors, companies, and decision-makers to build high-value prospect lists that support commercial sales objectives.
  • Work closely with Sales and Data teams to identify gaps in existing databases and develop campaigns and initiatives to acquire new contacts and accounts.
  • Use events, content, digital campaigns, partnerships, social media and other channels to capture new commercial prospects and consented data.
  • Develop strategies to increase the quality, depth, and engagement of commercial data, ensuring it can be effectively segmented and targeted.
  • Work with the Data and CRM teams to maintain strong data quality, governance, and compliance.
  • Develop segmentation and audience strategies to support targeted lead generation, nurture, and account-based campaigns.
  • Monitor database growth, engagement, and conversion to demonstrate the commercial value of data acquisition activity.
  • Ensure data build activity supports both immediate sales opportunities and the long-term growth of Agriconnect’s commercial pipeline.

Data, Insight & Reporting

  • Monitor campaign ROI, pipeline contribution, CPL, MQLs, SQLs, and conversion rates.
  • Analyse campaign performance and provide recommendations.
  • Maintain excellent CRM data quality and governance.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify opportunities and threats.

Team & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the key marketing partner for the Commercial Sales team.
  • Work closely with Customer Success, Events, Editorial, Digital and Data teams.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies and strategic partners.

Role Requirements

  • Experience in B2B Marketing, preferably demand generation and/or lead management
  • Experience working in B2B event and media industries preferred.
  • Experience managing PPC and paid social agencies.
  • Strong understanding of CRM and marketing automation.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, adapt to changing circumstances, and make data-driven adjustments to marketing strategies as needed.
