Job Purpose

Unilever is one of the world’s leading FMCG companies, reaching 2 billion consumers a day with iconic brands across Food, Home and Personal Care. The Home Care UK business brings together some of Unilever’s biggest and most iconic global brands — Persil, Surf, Domestos, Cif and Comfort.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Unilever Home Care UK at a time of strong innovation and growth. As an Assistant Brand Manager, you will work closely with a Home Care Brand Lead to help bring brand strategy to life — from innovation launches to integrated marketing campaigns — on brands used by millions of consumers every day.

You will gain hands-on experience across end-to-end brand building in a fast-paced FMCG environment, with strong exposure to cross functional teams, agencies and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support the Brand Lead in implementing the UK brand strategy and delivering impactful marketing programmes

  • Own campaigns and marketing activity, working with cross functional teams and agencies to deliver digitally led & omnichannel plans
  • Craft content with a digital first mindset, partnering with the agencies to deliver, track and optimise performance
  • Support the commercial delivery of the brand by monitoring in market performance, identifying insights and contributing to action plans
  • Play a key role in innovation and renovation projects, including launch execution, pack price architecture optimisation, post launch evaluation and 100 day tracking
  • Act as a portfolio owner and key contact on brand and project performance, ensuring clarity, alignment and strong execution across teams.

All About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or a related discipline, with relevant experience or internships in FMCG marketing considered a strong advantage.

• Passion for turning insight into inspiring briefs, helping to building compelling brand stories and consumer experiences that delight and drive impact across touchpoints

  • High curiosity for consumers, categories and emerging channels, with strong attention to detail and a proactive, can-do mindset
  • Strong project management skills, with experience supporting or leading innovation, renovation or campaign delivery
  • Confidence working with multiple cross-functional teams and agencies, with clear communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work with increasing autonomy and craft compelling narratives tailored to different audiences
  • Strong organisational skills, agility and problem-solving ability in a fastmoving environment
  • A balance of creativity and commercial thinking, with exposure to budgets, business performance and brand investment decisions
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills, with experience using data and insights (Nielsen / Kantar preferred)
  • A consumer centric attitude, passion for brands and ambition to continuously learn and grow

Recruitment Fraud

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs. These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.

How is Unilever tackling this?

Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.

What can I do?

If you become aware of potential recruitment fraud, spot fake Unilever recruitment adverts or fake LinkedIn profiles, report them via Una Live Chat.

Unilever does not accept responsibility or liability for any candidates who are financially impacted by recruitment fraud. Your vigilance is key!
