About the role
The Account Director is a key role within Client Services, owning client accounts, managing day-to-day relationships, overseeing delivery, and supporting account growth.
Working closely with the Client Lead and delivery teams, you’ll drive multi-channel digital strategies across Search, Social, Content and Paid Media, while identifying new opportunities and ensuring strong commercial account management.
You’ll build strategic advisory skills, confidently manage budgets and commercial conversations, and challenge client requests when needed to find solutions that benefit both the client and agency.

What you’ll do
Client Relationships
- Build trusted relationships with key clients and understand their business, industry and objectives.
- Manage expectations around scope, timelines and feedback, always focusing on practical solutions.
- Work with strategists to support planning and campaign development.
Strategy
- Lead multi-channel digital marketing strategies across paid media, SEO, social, web and content.
- Turn client briefs into clear, actionable plans and bring informed recommendations based on market and competitive insights.
Forecasting & KPIs
- Work with Project Managers to manage timelines, budgets and deliverables.
- Translate client objectives into clear KPIs, monitor performance and flag risks early.
- Support QBRs and campaign performance reporting.
Team Development
- Guide and support junior CS team members, helping them develop their client and strategic skills.
- Keep the Client Lead informed of account performance, risks and key decisions.
Commercial Growth
- Identify growth opportunities across existing accounts and contribute to upsell and expanded scopes.
- Support proposals, presentations and scopes where required.
Financial Performance
- Support project financial performance, budget tracking and revenue forecasting.
- Maintain accurate financial information and escalate issues when needed.

About you:
- 2+ years’ Account Director experience within a digital content-focused agency
- Experience working with brand name clients
- A comprehensive understanding of the digital landscape, including AI Discovery, social media, search, content marketing and future trends
- Passion for collaboration and creative problem-solving to ensure the highest-quality work
- Strong understanding of the digital content landscape – from planning and research, to production, publishing and reporting
- Solid understanding of SEO and related metrics
- Highly organised and able to manage workload effectively
- Adaptable, confident and self-motivated
- Mature personality – able to relate and interact with people at all levels
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Commercial experience and awareness (scoping, costing and billing)
- Ability to track budgets and report on project profitability
- Comfortable in a fast-moving and project-based environment
