We are a growing national construction company supplying specialist services to the water industry, the Environment Agency, and a broad range of private clients, holding over 30 Framework agreements nationally. What you’ll be doingReporting to the Chief Growth Officer (CGO), the Wastewater Business Development Manager will be responsible for maximising Wastewater business growth through supporting Client Development Plans and by proactive engagement with our existing clients. Furthermore, you will play a critical role in advancing our market share and creating lasting impact with our clients.

Who we’re looking forWe are seeking an experienced Wastewater Business Development Manager who will be responsible for identifying and securing new wastewater projects within our frameworks. Ideally you will have a sound knowledge and understanding of how water companies organise and maintain their plant and assets such as Primary and Secondary Settlement tanks, Storm Tanks, Overflow Structures and Reedbeds, to our customers. You will need to have excellent communications skills be able to engage in first line technical dialogue and information with clients, with a high level of technical competency in these and wider wastewater assets.

Duties and Responsibilities* Identify and convert new business opportunities to increase revenue, improve profitability and drive sustainable profit growth.* Support Regional Directors in winning new Wastewater work and expanding on existing Wastewater revenue streams both within and outside of existing Framework Agreements.* Focus business development activities on the most beneficial clients and services by providing evidence-based recommendations to the CGO.* Understand the competitive landscape, whilst fully utilising Client Development Plans to maintain existing development momentum and maximise growth-impact.* Actively seek and follow up new Wastewater business opportunities aligned to organisational strategic goals.* Communicate new service developments to existing and prospective clients.* In conjunction with the wider team, plan, prepare and deliver marketing literature, documents, reports and presentations.* Maintain and develop client relationships by attending client meetings and targeted networking events;* Provide support to and share expertise with the Bid and Marketing teams;* Work closely with the Pre-Contract manager to build and maintain strong client relationships in order to develop new Wastewater opportunities within Framework Agreements and support project bids.

Skills and Experience

Essential* Possess a positive attitude and be committed to high levels of care for staff and clients* Experience in the delivery of wastewater projects at an operational level.* Excellent time-management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines, multi-task and prioritise work* Full, UK driving licence* A willingness to travel nationwide with regular overnight stays, as required by the role* Strategically penetrate B2B markets, specifically focusing on business opportunities in the Wastewater sector* Develop and execute innovative sales strategies that effectively integrate Stonbury’s water solutions to meet diverse client needs.* Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in our target sectors, ensuring long-term partnerships and recurring business.* Lead market analysis efforts to anticipate trends and align our offerings with market demands.* Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure, emphasising a consultative approach tailored to each client.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure sales plans are well integrated with overall business objectives.* Utilise and enhance our CRM systems to optimize sales processes and improve customer engagement.Desirable* In possession of of qualification from the Inst for Apprenticeships and Technical Education.

What we’re offeringThe Wastewater Business Development Manager role can be based from multiple locations, South Wales, Beverley, Bedfordshire or our Derby office. Periodic UK- wide travel and some overnight stays may be part of the job. You will be empowered to manage your own diary and take full ownership of your workload with a high degree of autonomy.
