The City of Liverpool College is the only general FE college in the city and the largest FE college in Liverpool City Region.It offers the widest, most diverse vocational curriculum in the region and ranges from entry up to degree and post-graduate levels and currently serves more than a third of all the 16-18 year olds in Liverpool and educates almost 12,000 learners each year, with all courses being delivered to the highest standard of learning.

Social Science Lecturer (Access to HE)Full TimePermanent£30,347-£37,631The RoleThe City of Liverpool College Group are currently recruiting for a lecturer of Social Science (Psychology, Criminology and Sociology) within the Access to Higher Education school. The role will contribute to achieving excellence in teaching and learning through innovative and excellent practice. The successful candidate will be expected to create effective and stimulating learning opportunities for all students through high quality teaching, learning and assessment. The Access to Higher Education school has over 600 students studying a range of different levels and subjects and prides itself on providing outstanding teaching and learning whilst ensuring the highest levels of pastoral support.
The post-holder will also monitor each student’s academic performance and provide feedback for improvements, supervise and motivate students to achieve their academic and personal goals and will deliver high quality teaching and learning at Level 3.
Pastoral care will be an additional focus of the role and you will take responsibility for both personal and group tutorials to establish a cohesive learning experience that enables progression and development to higher levels or future employment.
