A well-established, award-winning, and innovative full-service digital agency in search of a determined Sales & Marketing Manager. This role involves reporting directly to one of our founders and collaborating closely with our senior management team. The primary objective is to bolster our new business leads and ensure our agency secures more projects.

The responsibilities for this role are divided as follows, along with some illustrative tasks:

30% Sales - This entails identifying potential sectors, compiling sales lists, participating in industry events, and nurturing pipelines using databases.

70% Marketing- This aspect focuses on generating leads from existing and inbound sources. It involves managing content, monitoring client movements, and enhancing our online presence.

Our client is seeking a candidate who is both motivated and proactive. The role demands the ability to generate leads through a variety of strategies, which necessitates a comprehensive understanding of our business, covering creative, media, and data-driven marketing. The ideal candidate should be hands-on, capable of handling various responsibilities, from coordinating pitches and arranging face-to-face networking events to liaising with partners inside and outside the agency. Additionally, they will play a pivotal role in managing and leading the agency's social and content activities.

Our client's agency is well-established, with a team of approximately 75 experts specialising in paid media, creative, marketplaces, SEO, and analytics. They collaborate closely to execute high-performance campaigns for both renowned brands and emerging organisations. Their London offices offer a friendly and cooperative environment.

Key responsibilities for this role:

  • Managing the agency website: Ensuring regular updates to keep it current.
  • Managing the agency content strategy and calendar: To maintain a consistent and engaging online presence.
  • Building and maintaining a permission-based prospect and influencer list: Sending relevant communications like newsletters and event invitations.
  • Tracking tender calendars: Developing a sales network and managing internal new business resources.
  • Owning the new business pipeline: Crafting a clear sales plan.
  • Organising agency-hosted and sponsored events: To foster relationships and showcase our expertise.
  • Attending industry and networking events: To stay connected and informed.
  • Maintaining industry associations, memberships, and profiles: To demonstrate our commitment to the field.
  • Assisting in the preparation of pitch presentations and marketing materials: Ensuring they align with our brand and values.
  • Building partnerships with potential agencies: Exploring collaborative opportunities.

Requirements for this role:

  • Agency experience would be beneficial but not essential
  • Minimum of 5 years plus new business experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Hands-on sales attitude: Ability to build and manage a sales funnel.
  • Highly organised: Capable of handling multiple responsibilities.
  • Eager to learn
  • Confident in presenting: Comfortable dealing with senior management.
