Join our fast-growing company and embark on a rewarding career path with ample opportunities for progression.As the Sales and Customer Service Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:Overall Branch Management:
  • Assume overall responsibility for the branch, including sales, stock, and staff management
  • Motivate and lead the branch team by setting a positive example
Sales Growth:
  • Proactively work to increase sales while maintaining margins
  • Handle customer inquiries and orders, demonstrating effective sales techniques
Staff Development:
  • Provide training and conduct regular staff appraisals to foster professional growth
  • Ensure a high level of competence within the team
Stock Management:
  • Maintain efficient control over stock levels and inventory
  • Oversee the planning and execution of bi-annual stocktakes
Customer Service Excellence:
  • Supervise the trade counter to ensure exceptional customer service
  • Manage customer and supplier returns efficiently
Health and Safety:
  • Uphold and enforce health and safety standards within the branch
  • Promote a safe working environment for all staff
Logistics and Operations:
  • Oversee customer deliveries to ensure timely and accurate distribution
  • Open and close the branch each day, ensuring proper security protocols
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure
  • Previous sales experience is essential
  • Prior experience in the roofing or merchants' industry is advantageous
  • Full UK driving license is mandatory
Working Hours:
  • Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
