Responsibilities:
· Generate business through the conversion of enquiries into orders.
· Develop key accounts and nurture customer partnerships.
· Maximize profit and identify added value opportunities.
· Achieve and exceed sales targets.
· Meet department objectives.
· Maintain a high level of customer service.
Duties:
· Generate enquiries and provide estimates, including hire work estimates if applicable.
· Produce quotations and follow up with customers to close orders.
· Develop a customer base through customer visits, telephone contact, and trade shows.
· Conduct canvassing and cold calling to identify new opportunities.
· Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends.
· Maintain accurate customer records.
· Enter customer orders into the MRP system and generate order acknowledgments.
· Undertake sales order review procedures.
· Create materials conversion paperwork.
· Liaise with production control and order progressing departments.
· Source and purchase raw materials as required.
· Contribute to the development of the MRP system.
· Perform other reasonable duties and instructions issued by the line manager.
You may be required to stay away from home overnight to make customer visits or attend trade shows, which may be domestic or international shows or visits.
