Purpose of the Business Sales Developer The role plays a crucial role in driving revenue growth for the organization by generating new business opportunities and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. This position involves prospecting, presenting services, negotiating contracts, and achieving sales targets. To drive sales to achieve the defined sales objectives, whilst maintaining the highest levels of customer service
Main duties and responsibilities of a Business Sales Developer • Prospect and identify potential clients through various sources, including cold calling, networking, and referrals• Conduct research and gather market information to understand customer needs and competition• Generate leads, qualify prospects, and maintain a robust sale pipeline• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, serving as their main point of contact• Understand clients’ goals, challenges, and requirements to provide tailored solutions• Conduct regular check-ins, address client concerns, and provide exceptional customer service• Present products or services to potential clients in a persuasive manner• Conduct sales demonstrations, showcasing the value and benefits of the offerings• Prepare and deliver sales proposals, addressing client needs and aligning with their objectives• Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and payment schedules to secure deals
Experience/knowledge requirements for a Business Sales Developer • Proven experience in sales or a related role, preferably in a target-driven environment• Demonstrable track record of success in sales• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written• Organised and efficient with excellent attention to detail• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships• Persuasive and confident in delivering sales presentations and negotiations• Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented• with a passion for exceeding targets• Able to work on own and use initiative to get the job done
