Our client, a leading international recruitment consultancy, is looking for a Sales Development Representative to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and implementing the divisions plans to increase its market share through expansion into new areas of opportunity. Reporting to the Sales Director, this is a business-critical role that will help to develop and shape the business moving forward.

Working alongside their business development team and having a hands-on approach, you will be commercially focused and will be able to demonstrate an ROI within a short space of time.

You’ll be a highly skilled salesperson, experienced in selling complex solutions to business leaders. You’ll quickly build strong and influential relationships with other firms, knowing how and when to challenge to get the best results for bringing on new business.

Core responsibilities:

  • Drive the delivery of new clients and jobs for the resourcing team
  • Liaise with the director and team leaders to target specific areas of the market to focus on
  • Lead and support the delivery of the business development team
  • Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Increase the quality of our business development
  • Develop, coordinate, and execute plans to drive the business growth. Establish timelines and delivery according to set schedule(s)
  • Anticipate challenges and manage complex, reactive, fast-moving changes to the market

Requirements:

  • A creative thinker who can develop and implement ideas in line with our corporate identity and principles
  • Ability to form strong relationships with leadership and peers and be able to work effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a good presenter – able to make recommendations with gravitas and inspire confidence in others
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
  • Proactive, a ‘can do’ attitude, with a willingness to ‘roll your sleeves up’ bringing new ideas and suggestions to the table
  • Highly organised with the ability to multi-task well
  • Able to influence stakeholders and build trusted relationships
  • High level of personal enthusiasm and self-motivation
  • Ability to produce and execute targeted BD strategies, with a focus on ROI

The Role:

  • Cold calling to gain new clients
  • Identifying Clients for successful placements
  • Interacting with and processing individuals who have been identified as potential successful candidates
  • setting up meeting with clients for placement opportunities
  • Negotiating terms of contracts
