With your love of working with people and desire to provide a great service, you’ll welcome and talk to our visitors to our two retail outlets, the Servants Hall Shop and the Avenue Plants Shop, answering any questions they have. You'll be joining a wonderful group of colleagues and volunteers as part of the wider Charlecote Park team.
Salary: £10:50 per hour
Contract: Permanent
Hours/working pattern/hours: This is an annualised role with the bank of 780 hours worked across the year as per business needs and pay evenly spread across the months so you have a set regular income. On average, the hours work out as 2-3 days per week, but in busy seasons and holidays it will be more, and in quiet seasons, less, as per business needs. Hours are usually 10:15am – 4:30/5pm. Charlecote Park is open 364 days per year, with our busiest times being weekends and school holidays, so this role includes regular weekend and bank holiday shifts.
What it's like to work hereOverlooking the river Avon on the edge of Shakespeare’s Stratford, Charlecote Park has been part of this corner of rural Warwickshire for centuries. Today the house is still part lived in by the Lucy family as it has been in the family for 900 years. It is filled with treasures of European travels and family collecting. Outside the parkland, inspired by ‘Capability’ Brown is home to herds of Jacob sheep and fallow deer. Welcoming in excess of 200,000 visitors a year, Charlecote is a popular meeting venue for friends and family, as well as serving its local community. Our two shops are popular with our visitors and we have a wonderful range of products. We love sharing stories with our visitors and making their visit special.

What you'll be doing As Retail Team Member you’ll offer customers help and shopping advice with their purchases. Other duties may include receiving, unpacking, and arranging deliveries, creating shop displays and working with other members of the team to keep the shop floor area clean and organised. This role would suit anyone with a passion for delivering great customer service and an interest in learning about retail. Who we're looking for- Customer focused with positive attitude
