Here at Buy It Direct we’re looking to strengthen our Appliances Direct and Laptops Direct trading teams by recruiting an Ecommerce Brand Executive.

It’s a great opportunity for a commercially minded marketeer to join a highly successful ecommerce retail business and develop your career in a fast-paced marketing / commercial team.

Your focus will be to deliver innovative cross selling opportunities and customer focused activity across our website.
You will build compelling commercial content alongside a seamless customer experience across all website touchpoints.

Using your excellent relationship building and negotiation skills you will work with the commercial team to maximise brand and vendor funding and sponsorship for on-site activity and content.

After initial training we can offer a balance of office / home working.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the trading and content calendar, working with design to create engaging content and ‘hooks’ to drive customer interest and conversions.
  • Optimise website navigation, menus, and other key parts of the customer journey outside of product and category.
  • Manage homepage and other non-category specific pages and activity, e.g. trade pages, seasonal campaigns, events, promos, trend and inspiration and brand pages.
  • Develop content plans to support trading activity.
  • Manage and optimise cross category links and URLs (visual merchandising and sequencing)
  • Execution and reporting on trading led promotional activity.

Person Specification

  • Ambitious and energetic, with experience of working in a highly commercial e-commerce role, ideally within retail.
  • Innovative and commercial thinker able to use your knowledge and experience of e-commerce principles and technology, to make improvements to the customer journey.
  • Boldly determined, able to use initiative and take ownership applying your knowledge to improve customer experience, drive retention, repeat business and customer engagement.
  • An analytical thinker, experienced in using a variety of analytical tools with the ability to interpret data to make commercial decisions and drive performance.
