Your new role
An exciting, newly created opportunity to be part of the Strategy and Communications directorate's Leadership team as Head of Analytics & Insight. Potential to expand and develop the role as you wish. Your responsibilities include:
  • Lead the development and delivery of the Horizon Scanning and future scenario activity to inform the long-term delivery of the strategy and organisational direction, in collaboration with the Director of Strategy and Communication and ExCo
  • Develop the organisation's view of external risk, partnering with the Risk Intelligence Group, to support organisational decision making about where to focus regulatory activity and resources
  • Partner with relevant role holders to calibrate external risk with internal risk and assurance controls
  • Lead the development and delivery of core analysis products to support the effective delivery of the organisation's Corporate Strategy, prioritisation of activity and corporate planning
  • Advise on the formation and evaluation of strategic goals and policy interventions by using measurement, impact tracking and cost / benefit analysis
  • Provide high quality research, insight and advice to the Board and Executive on complex strategic issues
  • Lead a team of experts in their field

What you'll need to succeed
  • Experience of managing/leading a team
  • Excellence in presenting to board level
  • Able to make autonomous decisions
  • Significant experience of leading and commissioning complex programmes of research
  • Must be capable of generating insight from complex and sometimes incomplete data, information, and anecdote to form intelligent hypothesis formation and scenario planning to support Board / ExCo considerations
  • Role holder must have an excellent working knowledge of regulatory activity and the market we regulate
  • Experience of public policy development and formation
  • Project Management skills in research and analysis
  • The ability to strongly partner both internally and externally into relevant departments / industries
  • Experience in prioritising outcomes and deliverables and managing time and that of the team, effectively
