The Role

Do you possess experienced in the Gas Appliances, Oil appliances and mechanical aspects of general building PPM schedules, and reactive works? Are you seeking a role that combines hands-on expertise with strategic planning and execution?

Dalkia EDF Ltd is on the lookout for a Mobile Mechanical Technician to manage Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Reactive Maintenance, and other associated works across our multiple facilities. Your role is pivotal in enhancing our operational efficiency, reliability, and customer rapport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be an integral part of the Mobile Support Team, offering gas competency to our clientele.
  • Implement PPM on boilers, related plant, and other mechanical services.
  • Undertake minor project works on boiler equipment.
  • Provide in-depth reports on predictive timings for remedial works and life cycle condition assessments.
  • Offer a high level of technical and hands-on support while communicating daily with clients.
  • Participate in out-of-hours on-call rotations and promptly respond to reactive maintenance issues.
  • Coordinate with visiting specialist sub-contractors related to mechanical facets of the PPM schedules.

The Person

  • NVQ Level 2-3 (Mechanical Discipline e.g., Heating and Ventilating 6018) or equivalent.
  • ACS/Corgi/Gas Safe qualifications in both Domestic & Commercial Gas.
  • Proficiency in combustion and gas analyser utilisation for enhanced efficiency.
  • Competence in working with AHU’s, BMS, AC equipment, Cold Water systems, and other mechanical structures.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • NIC accreditation for Gas installations.
