Micheldever Tyre Services is looking for an analytical and data focused Database Executive to work within our marketing team with a genuine interest in the use of data to improve the effectiveness of activity and be able to interpret data quickly and accurately.
As Database Marketing Executive you will be responsible for supporting the management of customer marketing database(s) to provide a wide range of analytical insight that supports marketing campaigns to deliver incremental revenue and profit for the Wholesale and Retail business units.
Experience of selection and profiling of customers, analysis and handling large volumes of data is essential to this role.
This key role will work with analytical and predictive models, using demographic and industry data to inform effective marketing campaigns, both to existing customer retention and new prospect lead generation/conversion and deliver post-execution performance analysis, to allow for return-on-investment calculations. Working closely with the Direct Marketing team (and others within Performance Marketing) who are responsible for using this insight to drive growth, and with Brand Managers/Execs for insight.
Supporting/deputizing and representing the Database Marketing Manager, the successful candidate will:
- Manage the Business Development and Retention Programmes including third party retail analysis, consumer behaviour analysis, campaign preparation and analysis, stock and catchment profiling.
- Maintain analytic models for customer retention and acquisition
- Maintain and extract information from existing BI, CRM and SCV platforms
- Produce franchise catchment analysis and benchmark reports
- Develop and implement targeted direct mail/email campaigns
- Maintain accurate records of both specific analysis and other work undertaken
- Provide other ad hoc analysis and spatial catchment reporting as required
- Provide regular updates for the wider business on the progress against the Plan, KPI summaries and input to reporting packs
You will come from a marketing or data background from either the retail or wholesale sector within a fast-paced environment. This role will involve managing multiple activities with different delivery points. Being able to control all of these is essential for the role as is an understanding of key market drivers, in specifying segmented activity and in reviewing campaign results to improve delivery of future activity.
An understanding of the automotive industry and/or Tyre market from a consumer/trade perspective and Direct marketing qualifications (e.g. IDM) is desirable but not essential.

This is a pivotal period for the business, with the recent hiring of a Board-level Group Marketing Director, demonstrating that marketing has become a more in?uential and strategic function within the business - with a more data-driven, insight-led, omni-channel approach to marketing activity and a desire to attract new customers into the sales funnel whilst developing and maintaining the best possible customer experience across all channels. This has led to a restructuring of the Marketing Team - with the creation of this role - bringing together two separate B2B/D2C marketing teams into one and instigating a more matrix structure with clear focus and accountabilities for all. Critically it is accepted that the Marketing team are intrinsic to the execution of our strategy
