Summary We're looking for an enthusiastic and experienced marketing professional. You’ll lead the development and delivery of the Cotswolds countryside portfolio marketing and communications plan, helping to achieve the Trust’s goals and charitable aims, whilst connecting people to our special places and our conservation work. You’ll work with our local teams and internal consultancy colleagues to promote the properties within the portfolio, preparing and sharing press releases, stories, images and social media posts to grow our profile, and you’ll initiate and plan to grow our reach to wider audiences. This is a part-time, 2 year fixed-term role. What it's like to work here The portfolio covers a large number of outdoor sites across the county, with staff teams based at multiple hubs (Sherborne Park Estate in Sherborne, Woodchester Park near Nailsworth and The Old Ebworth Centre near Stroud). There are numerous nature conservation stories to tell, and exciting developments to our visitor offer to promote. There is also the potential to engage with new communities, and to build new partnerships by raising our profile. This is an exciting time to join the team and help to engage audiences with our work for people, nature and heritage. What you'll be doing You’ll lead marketing and communications, developing and delivering the marketing plan to help achieve our business objectives, reach new audiences and connect people with the work of the Trust as a conservation charity. You’ll work collaboratively within the local portfolio team, talking to Rangers and Visitor Experience colleagues discover stories about our work and places, and across the wider organisation to create content that shares these stories across multiple different channels, including web, social media, press releases and email. You’ll think strategically about our marketing activity and make decisions based on audience insight and evaluation. You’ll also help to create on-site signage and interpretation with the support of curatorial colleagues, and write newsletters to connect with internal and external partners such as volunteers and local residents. You may at times be asked to duty manage our properties that have a staffed visitor welcome, which could involve occasional weekend work. Who we're looking for We'd love to hear from you if you have:
  • Practical experience in a marketing role or in some aspects of marketing communications.
  • Experience of developing and implementing marketing and communications plans.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation: marketing codes, data protection, copyright and model release.
  • Proven record in crafting, using and editing content in different channels (web, social media, PR, email).
  • Ability to spot potential risks to reputation and escalate them accordingly.
  • Well organised and able to balance multiple priorities and varying pressures to meet measurable targets and deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of the importance of online presence and ways to promote visits to our website and social media channels.
  • A creative approach to reaching both new and existing audiences
