Our client is a large local government organisation and looking for an experienced Marketing / Comms Assistant. This is initiallly a 3 month contract which may be extended for the right applicant.
You will
Our client are looking for a proactive and organised Communications & Marketing Assistant to provide administrative support to the Corporate Communications & Marketing Team.
This varied role will provide support across all functions of the team (including internal and external communications, digital, and marketing), and is an exciting opportunity to gain experience of working for an in-house communications team within regional government.
You will have excellent attention to detail, keen interpersonal and written skills and be an enthusiastic team player. Some key duties of this role include:
Coordinate and schedule social content, sharing the exciting work that we’re doing in the region • Create and edit content on our website, ensuring we maintain an engaging and accessible service for our users. • Monitor the team’s shared inbox and redirect queries as appropriate
Write and collate copy for newsletters, social media and internal communications channels
Assist the team in maintaining our digital platforms, including our social channels, intranet and websites
Maintain and update key team resources, including image libraries and contact lists • Event planning administration - experience of using Ticket Tailor, Eventbrite and Zoom useful Financial administration support It might also be worth adding something along the lines of: Joining our marketing team as a Communications and Marketing Assistant offers a unique chance for professional growth in a welcoming environment.
