As a Medical Research Coordinator you will be responsible for the research, case management and submission of health-related reports for one particular client. Working closely with the medical team in London & medical and operational counterparts in other countries, you will be sourcing information - working to tight deadlines. Your ability to develop relationships both internally and externally will serve to improve response rates and case management efficiencies. In this role you will also have an opportunity to help develop and maintain a database of case research data. This position is a fixed term contract for 18 months.
As a Medical Research Coordinator your daily tasks will include:
• Daily administration of inbound and on-going case requests • Reply to client’s questions and requests for information. • Utilise multiple information sources to fulfil research requests (e.g. other assistance centres and departments, external providers including medical correspondents). • Compile final responses, obtain medical approval, and upload submissions to the client portal within the deadlines. • Maintain a database populated with case research data. • Provide regular data insights, reports on operational activity drivers and opportunities for process efficiencies. • Quality control of deadline targets and content, including identification of any trends and quality improvement initiatives. • Develop a consistent response format that is informative, objective and professional. • Collate new information on medical providers and facilities and transfer information to the Network Services team. • Assist with ad-hoc research requests. • Provide outstanding customer service to the client, and proactively identify the need for service recovery with escalation to senior team members.• Work within and promote all International SOS policies and procedures.
A Medical Research Coordinator will need:
• Previous experience in a healthcare and/ or professional services environment• Experience in an international / cross-border environment• Any health-related primary degree or equivalent qualification (such as nursing, pharmacy, public health, health administration, emergency care)• Excellent verbal and written English language skills are essential.• Fluent verbal and written French or Spanish essential• Additional languages desirable.• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office Suite • Excellent prioritisation skills with the ability to work on several projects simultaneously. • Excellent attention to detail• Analytical skills and problem-solving mindset• Can work autonomously and within a team to deliver results. • Cultural sensitivity and awareness. Ability to work in a multi-lingual, multi-cultural environment where teamwork is the norm.
