Your company

Your company launched their own academy - an online learning platform hosting paid for science courses. Allowing learners to dig into the hottest topics in science with expertly curates, interactive, structured courses, and hear directly from the world's leading researchers combined with their trusted editorial expertise. Following a successful pilot, the company are now scaling up the academy with the ambition to produce a wide catalogue of courses and engage with new audiences to inspire and feed their fascination for science.

Your new role

You will be embedded within the Academy team as the marketing lead, and work with the rest of the marketing team to develop and deliver best practice, optimisations to your campaigns, development of new channels, and optimisation of customer journeys and friction points. As well as working closely with technology and data to enable your digital marketing, and creative teams to deliver marketing concepts and assets. You will have a role in agency management where appropriate. As a new product and brand, a key requirement for the Academy is to build its customer data - you will be responsible for growing this data through your marketing strategy, and using this to nurture learners through onward journeys, segmentation and targeting, and specific campaign planning and deployment. This will cover initial acquisition but also onward nurturing to drive engagement and completion of their purchased courses, satisfaction and repeat purchasing.

What you need to succeed

  • Digital marketing experience (agency or client-side)
  • Expertise in developing, delivering, and optimising multi-channel digital customer journeys
  • Ability to think strategically about the overall marketing strategy and goals, and translate this into tactical campaigns
  • Experience in developing marketing strategies from scratch
  • Ability to set-up, deliver, monitor and optimise digital campaigns
  • Experience in optimising landing pages and user funnels
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Confident with managing data, segmentation, targeting and growing and nurturing customer data and data analysis and the associated tools
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Proactive problem solver who takes ownership
  • Experience with our key platforms, and other digital marketing tools
  • Online courses marketing experience highly preferable
