This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious individual to join an industry leader as it enters into a rapid growth phase. We have built a unique and proven proposition in the digital space that straddles both agency and tech, and are seeking a special individual to join and help shape our journey.

We are looking for an experienced Head of New Business who will form part of the leadership team, working directly with the company founders and be responsible for winning and growing our client business as well as providing excellent service in support of the company’s revenue goals. We seek candidates who will thrive and excel in our dynamic, open and collaborative culture.

Our clients list boasts a number of high profile long term accounts such as Pinterest, Walmart, Calm and Google, amongst a host of other fortune 500 companies that engage us on both a retained and ad-hoc basis. The successful candidate will take the lead to help us transform the relationships with our ad-hoc partners and build long term partnerships.

Head of New Business – Creative Content Design Agency
Remote / London Meet-Ups Plus Trips to the US
Generous package ranging £60,000 – £80,000 Basic (£90,000 – £120,000 OTE) depending on experience

The Head of New Business Role:

As Head of New Business, you will have the opportunity to join an established business with the energy of a start-up and loyal client base of well-known brands in a newly created role that you will be able to shape and make your own.

You will be responsible for building new strategic partnerships to complement our existing client base with the goal to bring in new hires supporting you as your success grows. We are a UK company based in central London, however, have many clients located in the US, so this role will have the opportunity for regular travel to the US to actively drive sales growth across not only our existing client base, but also from new prospects across multiple regions.

You will report to the company founders and owners (located in London).

Day to day you will:

+ Proactively create, manage, and grow strategic partnerships from targeted, recognised leading brands in identified key sectors
+ Drive incremental revenue from our existing client base whilst targeting new prospects
+ Utilise and optimise the company CRM system to efficiently win new business and manage your internal pipeline / accurate sales forecasts
+ Influence both internal and external stakeholders at various levels with a collaborative but effective, results orientated approach. Typically, your external stakeholders will + include key decision makers across multiple brands and industries
+ Develop an understanding of our client’s business, products, services, customers, and objectives as part of your relationship building
+ Utilise these key strategic relationships to identify and secure new business opportunities
+ Strategically review and optimise our sales proposition with the leadership team to improve sales performance
+ Be the face and ambassador to our clients (particularly US based), whom you will meet with regularly to build your network and deliver company revenue growth targets

Position objectives:

+ You will create and implement the Business Development and Sales strategy designed to scale company revenues year on year
+ You will be a key team member and company ambassador creating new as well as nurturing existing client relationships
+ You will be a leader within the company working with other team members in client management as well as building a successful sales function.
+ Will have a close working relationship with 2 account stewardship roles with the goal to recruit business development support as you grow the function.

About You:

+ At least 7 to 10 years’ experience including 5 years in sales and business development to well-known brands
+ Experience working in high growth / scale up environments. We are an established business but still think and act with the agility and passion of a start-up
+ Solutions oriented and a proven track record in exceeding revenue goals
+ Self-motivation and drive to make things happen – this is a new role within the organisation and requires an individual that has the energy and ambition to hit the ground running
+ Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative, demonstrates initiative and follow through
+ Ability to comfortably present, engage and influence at a senior level e.g., Director level and above for medium and large international corporates
+ Goal orientated with proven negotiation skills and track record of sales success
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ A positive attitude and high EQ to optimise sales growth whilst nurturing long term client relationships
+ Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Business or Marketing
+ Fluency in English

Preferably, you will also have:

+ Previous experience having either worked in the US or regular exposure to US clients
+ Strong relationships and / or previous experience with digital creative agencies and social media platforms
+ Understanding and / or previous experience working in Media Sales

Work environment:

+ Remote set up – London HQ
+ Regular travel to the US (6 – 10 visits per year)
