THE COMPANY

Guylian Chocolates are sold in over 100 countries and are one of the top-ten selling boxed chocolate brands, with consumer recognition for premium quality, exquisite taste and our highly recognisable Seashells which are a chocolate lover’s dream. As part of our new strategic growth investment plan, we have recently successfully relaunched our brand design to include improved original recipes, 100% fair trade cacao, 100% recyclable packaging and palm/soy-free ingredients manufacturing. We have also executed a new creative brand marketing investment plan, including above and below-the-line advertising, supported with social media activation activity in the UK market where we are planning to double our sales over the next 5 years.

THE JOB

As a key part of our strategic growth plan, we are investing in a NEW position appointment for a Marketing Manager who will be part of the UK senior leadership team reporting to the Managing Director, with a dotted line to the Global Marketing Director in Belgium.

This is an incredibly exciting, all-encompassing marketing opportunity and an excellent platform for you to showcase your talents. Working to clear KPIs, you will have a real voice in the UK market execution plan, helping to steer a solid, UK customer and consumer-driven, mid-term innovation roadmap for the business — building the brand equity of our iconic Belgian chocolate brand through all channels.

You will work as part of the Belgium and UK teams delivering effective, strategic marketing plans, increasing awareness and engagement through a customer and channel-centric approach, including UK brand management, shaping and influencing consumer insight-led stories, brand activations both instore and online, social media and PR — so lots to get your ‘brand marketing’ teeth stuck into!

We offer flexible working with c3 days per week office (Oxford) attendance as we are keen to get together and create the ‘Team Guylian Magic’.

ABOUT YOU

Having strongly developed your FMCG marketing career you have shaped your core experience within Brand Management or Category Management, or possibly Brand Activation roles within major branded companies, and currently operate at Manager/Senior Manager level.

You have a sound understanding of the classical FMCG brand marketing mix activities and have excellent category insight-led story creation and influencing abilities, both internally and externally, including major retail multiple account stakeholders.

Furthermore, you can demonstrate a thorough knowledge of modern brand activities and activations together with the personal motivation towards developing your future career within this broad-based, multi-functional, brand marketing role.

With an enquiring mindset you are a driven consumer and shopper-focused marketer, who has a highly personable and natural style and can quickly get to grips with brand values and communication strategies, turning them into compelling brand implementation plans to really make things happen in the trade.
