Job Description

Central to our ecommerce marketing strategy, you define, develop and deliver Hallmark’s performance marketing strategy, driving revenue, customer acquisition, and brand awareness for our eCommerce business. A critical role you, will work closely with 3rd party marketing agencies, KC Brand and marketing teams, Commercial, Creative and Product, to maximise revenue and commercial performance of all Hallmark direct to consumer digital platforms and media. Managing the 3rd party marketing agency you’ll ensure the daily marketing mix is fit for purpose to deliver commercial and brand goals. You’ll drive organic and targeted revenue growth, customer acquisition and brand awareness through profitable marketing campaigns. You’ll also continuously evolve and improve our digital presence and capabilities, strongly contributing to a stretching year on year growth plan for our eCommerce platforms.

Your Responsibilities

  • Creating and executing a strong performance marketing strategy and operational plan for direct-to-consumer, working with and guiding the wider direct to consumer teams, ensuring strategy alignment, maximising ROI
  • Leading your team, direct and indirect, internal and external
  • Determine and execute the appropriate channel strategy and media mix to enable Hallmark to fulfil its goals
  • Ensuring that Hallmark has a competitive promotional strategy that drives market penetration
  • Using data to drive decision making as a confident and capable user of Google Analytics
  • Building the customer base via digital prospecting and establishing a remarketing programme that grows customer value
  • Managing significant budgets and campaigns across all digital channels to drive a clear return on investment across revenue, customer acquisition and brand awareness
  • Ensuring successful planning, execution, optimization for key traffic KPIs via paid and own media channels
  • Identifying and testing new channels to continue to meet or exceed established critical metrics
  • You will own the day-to-day relationship with our ‘Lead and Loyalty’ colleagues in Continental Europe, as well as key external agency partners
  • You will also work closely US Head Office colleagues to ensure share knowledge and best practice

To be successful you will need:

  • Have previous experience of digital marketing, ideally focusing on campaigns which drive revenue, customer acquisition and brand awareness.
  • Solid working knowledge of digital marketing across multiple channels
  • Data driven and a confident user of Google Analytics
  • Experience of working with global teams and aligning local and global brand strategies/vision would be a significant advantage
  • Previous experience of working in an performance marketing role for a FMCG, creatively led business
  • Working knowledge of macro and micro trends influencing your business and target audience and how to apply these to maximize campaign effectiveness and ROI
  • Resourceful and comfortable with budget limits and your ability to gain maximum ROI
  • Specific technical expertise and experience in PPC, Paid marketing channels, Social Media, Email Marketing and ECRM (preferably Saleforce) is required
  • Knowledge of emerging trends and adoption of channels
  • Confidence, and to be comfortable working with senior leaders to advise and guide them on digital growth
  • Commercially astute – this is a key commercial role where you will need to be able to model, communicate, and realise growth models
  • An ability to ‘think on your feet’ and work at pace to drive campaign performance
  • Ability to effectively line manage, and grow, a small team
  • To demonstrate you’re comfortable working in a flexible agile environment whilst keeping others on track to deliver results
  • To demonstrate you’re pro-active, resourceful and committed to solve problems and identify communication and/or engagement solutions
  • Demonstrates credible, capable managerial talents including effective, timely decision-making and collaboration with both direct team and cross-functional teams throughout the business
  • Develops strong, positive relationships, effective linkage and integration with key partners
