Job: Events Manager (Hybrid Remote + London)

This company is on a mission to transform digital fundraising by building the technology that empowers great causes. Their donations, event registration, and fundraising platform currently supports more than 4,000 charities to raise millions of pounds a year. Launched in 2012, they’ve come a long way — they’ve raised a Series A with social-impact focussed investors, grown their team to close to 70 people, and they’re looking to continue growing at an accelerated pace.

Overview:

They’re looking for an experienced Events Manager to join their marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-scaling, socially driven organisation and to work closely with their commercial and content team to build and manage the end-to-end success of their events programmes. Reporting to their Director of PR and Content, you’ll have a crucial role to play in using their range of internal and external events to help their organisation build and grow.

How you’ll contribute:

Own and run their events programme, review, and renew their annual event campaign as part of their overall marketing plan - including owned and sector events to deliver against OKRs.

Plan and run events supporting their activities to educate charities around their mass participation partnerships with London Marathon Events and Great Run

Manage activations at London Marathon and Great Run events.

Run their annual charity conference including working with their team on ideation, securing speakers and delivering a fantastic event.

Run their internal Mission Day, including working with their team on ideation, speakers, and logistics.

Ability to work on content including drafting decks and speaking points for company spokespeople.

Manage event logistics to make sure all runs smoothly on the day, including management of speakers, as well as producing reviews of each event to continue to learn and improve each activity and overall strategy.

Be the main point of contact with their key sector media partners for event activities.

Work with their commercial and content teams to ensure all event attendance is maximised and events comms are planned and delivered to hit OKRs.

Manage the budget for events, working with other team members to ensure they deliver strong ROI.

Delight their event speakers, ensuring they are paid for speaking opportunities and sent thank you cards and gifts as follow up.

Required:

Experience (5+ years’) in Events Management, even better if this is working in a B2B environment.

Experience of driving attendees to events

Experience of running both in-person and virtual events and experienced delivering events across a variety of webinar software and recording solutions.

Great at collaborating with other teams and building strong relationships internally and externally to maximise event attendance.

You are a confident and passionate communicator — managing any situation from difficult stakeholder conversations to creating engaging slide decks.

An understanding of the charity or fundraising sector is helpful but not essential.
