Part-time 21 hours per week.

We are looking to recruit a Student Recruitment Assistant who is an exceptionally organised and highly motivated individual with excellent communication and organisational skills who can work under pressure to tight deadlines. You will demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the Higher Education (HE) system and application process, be confident creating and maintaining new relationships, have excellent organisational skills, ideally some experience in supporting events and a personable, outgoing and confident approach.

This interesting, busy and varied role within the Student Recruitment Events Team, is primarily responsible for providing support to the Student Recruitment Events Officers who plan and deliver all student recruitment events across the University campuses and across the UK. Our events are a key part of the student application process from first enquiry to enrolment, being a key driver in engagement and applications to the University, with the team being responsible for ensuring that events are well planned, of high quality and exceptionally engaging.

You will be expected to frequently travel to our Northern campuses to deliver event support, set up and delivery on the day. On campus events can involve Open Days, Applicant Events and Postgraduate Events, as well as travel and attendance to represent the University at external recruitment exhibitions across the UK. You will need to be able to confidently deliver tours of our campuses to prospective students, parents and carers. As such, it is important that you are confident talking to prospective students, have a flexible approach and can quickly learn and digest information about the University and our campuses to confidently convey to our key audiences.

We are looking for an individual that is a quick learner, can confidently pick up and learn new systems such as our internal CRM system and website, and have the creative flair to be able to edit event materials in Canva & Adobe. Other elements of the role will involve supporting our wider UK Recruitment & Outreach Team with administrative tasks, stock checking and ordering of equipment, liaising with suppliers, working on data spreadsheets and supporting the Outreach team with some school and college campus visits.

The role will be three working days per week with flexibility to work some weekends and evenings to cover events across our campuses. This may mean being flexible with your normal working pattern to work on other days that events fall on.

We offer a comprehensive set of staff benefits which includes a competitive salary, 35 hour working week (pro rata), 33 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro rata), hybrid working in line with business need, excellent pension scheme with 8% employer contribution.
