Social Media & Communications Manager
At the University of Manchester Students’ Union, we are an organisation that sees no limits to what we can achieve for our members, and we want a creative, dynamic and passionate individual as our Social Media & Communications Manager to take our work in these areas to a whole new level.
We are a fast-paced, multi-faceted, non-profit organisation that runs social enterprises, change making campaigns, an advice centre, societies, volunteering and so much more. We work in partnership with the University of Manchester, representing over 47,000 members across the University and in the wider Greater Manchester community.
Leading our Social Media & Communications team of student creatives, you will manage our social media channels and online presence, ensuring that all content is up-to-date, relevant, and in line with our brand guidelines. You will work closely with the wider Marketing & Development directorate to ensure that all our messages are aligned with our strategic goals.
In this role, you will work closely with our student creatives to develop and execute effective social media and communications campaigns that reach our target audiences.
As our Social Media & Communications Manager, you will work in collaboration with our Director of Marketing & Development, Marketing & Events Manager and Research & Insight Manager to develop new, exciting and innovative strategies in paid social, SEO and email marketing. For any new strategy work, you would work with student creatives to help shape and deliver them.
You will also work with and brief our Design Manager and the wider design team to create artwork, assets, graphics and other media to utilize across our social media and digital channels.
Salary: £29,000 per year
Contract: Permanent, full-time contract (35 hours per week)
