Providing intelligent insights and evaluation to meet commercial targets
From translating data into clear insights to driving commercial strategy, your proven expertise and intelligence will help embed evidence-based learning into our everyday approach to activities and campaigns. You will work to optimize marketing activity; ensure we have a high return on
investment, and to ensure this contributes towards BPP hitting their commercial targets. The role holder will ensure stakeholders across the company are provided with reporting, analysis, insights, and actionable recommendations at every stage of a customer’s lifecycle. The role holder will lead a small team of Marketing Insight Analysts, including one Senior Analyst and one Analyst.
What you’ll be doing
- Developing and maintaining Marketing KPIs and dashboard tools alongside key
stakeholders
- Understanding and communicating Marketing’s return on investment and impact on wider business targets and Marketing KPIs
- Translating ambiguous stakeholder questions and challenges into achievable actions, define measurement approaches and eliminate roadblocks to reporting
- Working collaboratively across marketing to gather measurement requirements, business questions and challenges from marketing teams to provide, in return, analysis, recommendations and insights
- Measuring and modelling marketing activities and results to provide input to future planning, for example in attribution modelling, user journey analysis and campaign performance
Identifying BPP’s audiences and personas to use within Marketing activity and targeting,
ensuring segmentation models are of a high standard and continuously developed – aligned to marketing strategy
- Using advanced data science techniques to surface potential opportunities for BPP
- Communicating clear insights directly and through their team in the areas of lead management, campaign performance, behavioural analytics, and digital analytics
- Delivering the Marketing Insight roadmap, and driving prioritisation of the work required in
this area
- Leading a team of analysts to develop performance reporting infrastructure and
performance commentary, displaying wider leadership skills across the Data Intelligence

What we’re looking for
- A self-starter who understands and can articulate how important data analysis and reporting are to the overall success of the business
- Prior experience in a Marketing Reporting / Analytics role
- Ideally educated to degree level or higher in a STEM subject (or relevant work experience)
- Proficient experience in dashboard and analytics design (visualizations and data modelling) within tools such as Qlik, PowerBI, Tableau, SQL. Preferably with knowledge of PowerBI, Python and R
- Knowledge of eCommerce performance measurement
- Ability to creatively problem solve and perform complex analyses to solve business questions in a timely manner
- Strong leadership skills, experience leading a team of analysts and a passion for mentoring and developing junior members of the team
- Confident in building strong relationships across all management levels
- Extremely professional in communicating with senior leadership and able to effectively communicate complicated analyses to a non-analytic audience
- Comfortable working under pressure with tight deadlines as the decision maker and the
project leader
- Deep understanding of data/data modelling and an objective viewpoint with extreme attention to detail are a must
- Passionate about insights, continuous learning and communicating a deeper understanding of customers for the benefit of all stakeholders
- Experience in analysing feedback sites such as Trustpilot, Feefo and other customer feedback mechanisms is ideal
