It’s not the sort of place with unreasonable demands and hair on fire. Yet it’s still a big organisation and one that’s been around for a long time.
Your role will sit within the analytics and insight team, and report to the head of the function. As the lead, your responsible for owning a specific analytics workstream within the business. This specifically will be the acquisition marketing.
As such one of your key stakeholders will be the Digital Marketing Director and their respective team. Providing their function with actionable insight, and the narrative behind what’s going on behind the scenes of their marketing spend across all relevant media channels.
What’s needed
This will require a really good knowledge of Google Analytics, as well as visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI, and ideally some knowledge working with Snowflake.
From an analytics techniques perspective, good knowledge of marketing mix models and attribution modelling is going to be beneficial, and a lot of what you’ll be taking on here is relatively greenfield following the company completing a re-org just over a year ago.
About the team
The data team you’ll be joining is made up of 11 people overall, with 4 leads reporting to a head of, a couple of seniors and the rest being analysts.
The Leads all own respective lines of business, and both the seniors and analysts both deliver to their own projects and provide support to the leads where necessary.
KEY EXPERIENCE
- Good knowledge of Google Analytics
- Very strong data story-telling and insight generation skills
- Able to lead projects end to end, from initial business problem, translation to data problem, to recommendations and actionable insight, into demonstrable change
- Have an understanding of data visualisation and dashboarding, having worked with Tableau or PowerBI
- Knowledge of MMM and marketing attribution modelling
- Collaborative and engaging character type
