About the role:
We are looking for a professional eLearning Instructional Designer to design and develop eLearning and supporting courseware. The goal is to facilitate learners in acquiring knowledge, skills, and competencies in an effective and appealing manner. The role will work closely with the L&D Manager and subject matter experts to identify and target audience training needs. You will create engaging learning activities and compelling course content. In addition, the role will support in programme evaluation and make the relevant amends and updates as defined.
What you will be doing:
- State training objectives and create content that meets them
- Visualise and develop eLearning, videos and finished courseware. Content could include, eLearning, webinars, audio, video, simulations, role plays, virtual games etc.
- Apply tested instructional design theories (e.g. 70/20/10 model), practice and methods
- Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
- Review course evaluation and feedback provided, making appropriate amendments
- Maintain L&D documentation/trackers and course folders
- Update our vendor brands training content held on the Harding+ LMS
- Support the management of LMS, creating, maintaining and of courses and curriculums
- Provide administrative support regarding reporting and learning management activities
About you:
- Proven working experience in eLearning instructional design
- Great communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Visual design skills and attention to detail
- Application of Brand Guidelines when designing courseware
- Ability to write effective instructional text, audio scripts, video scripts
- Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
- Expert knowledge of effectively using the Articulate360 suite of course development tools – including Storyline 360 (SL), Replay 360 (RP), Rise 360 (RS), Review 360 (RV)
- Experience in using a Learning Management System, as both Admin and Learner
- Ideally have experience in using Vyond video creation software
- Must have an existing right of eligibility to work in the UK
