Digital Marketing Manager
Farringdon, London

Are you a commercially minded digital marketing manager looking for a new challenge?

Alongside the interests and challenges of the role, we know that candidates also want to be enthused about the mission and values of the organisation they might be joining.

IStructE is a charity and the professional body for structural engineers. We have a global membership who have designed many of the world’s iconic structures as well as many of the buildings and bridges we take almost for granted in our daily lives.

Creating safer structures for the benefit of the public is at the heart of our remit and this includes environmental sustainability with structural engineers and the Institution at the heart of the impact construction has on natural resources and climate change.

We are passionate about inclusion and work hard to help those with talent, irrespective of background, to find and develop a route into the profession. Many of our members work to support the world’s most vulnerable communities, especially those living in places prone to natural hazards such as earthquakes and extreme flooding.

If working as part of a staff team of about 74 people and alongside many of our members to address these issues appeals to you, then we would love to hear from you.

The Role:

You’ll oversee the day-to-day marketing operation – including the work of two Digital Marketing Executives and key channels like email marketing and the online shop. You’ll make sure that the marketing service provided to clients is proactive, collaborative, and delivers quality results.

You’ll run your own campaigns for strategically important activities, manage campaign budgets and own the relationship with our paid search agency.

Regular reporting to client teams and other stakeholders is important, so you’ll need to make sure that you have the systems and processes in place to monitor and report on channel and campaign performance.

This is a key role and the right candidate will be able to shape and evolve the marketing function.

To be shortlisted for this post, you must have:

– Demonstratable knowledge and understanding of digital marketing.
– Experience of working to targets and reporting regularly on progress.
– Experience of managing and leading a small team.

Experience of CRM driven systems, segmentation, email automation and mass personalisation would be advantageous.

What we can offer you:

– 25 days paid annual leave (rising with service) plus bank holidays and flexi leave
– A pension scheme with up to 9% employer contributions
– Life Insurance
– Private Medical Insurance
– Permanent Health Insurance
– Health Cash Plan
– Employee Assistance Programme
– Season Ticket Loan
– Cycle to Work Scheme
– Continuous Professional Development

Working Conditions:

We are based on the edge of the city, our office is bright, modern, and open plan. We are an inclusive and friendly workforce. We are presently operating a working model of office based and remote working and envisage operating a longer-term hybrid working model.
